The two teams in the championship game are the only teams that play an 83rd game on the season. (The rest is just part of the regular schedule.)

So I get being annoyed that you don't get a win in the standings for winning that game, but at the same time, it's an extra game and not part of the RS.

How do they accommodate for shifting the schedule for teams that play in the quarter and semi finals? Did they only plan games for the first half of the season, then they need to fill in the remainder of the schedule after tourney?

Yeah if you look at each team's RS schedule there's a gap during the week of the Knockout round. They then quickly fill in that part of the schedule depending on who's advanced in the tournament.

NBA Cup is pigeonholed by NFL and March Madness. The dog days of the season are in February where the newness of the season wears off and tanking begins. The season is still exciting in November with or without the cup due to the lack of data and chemistry.

Someone said "NBA cup" is cringe, how is that cringe, they didnt do any gimmick, its just nba cup, naybe boring, but cringe?

I don’t see anything boring about it , in Europe there is cups in basketball and football and while those not hold that much value as leagues championships and Champions League in general they still holds value and extra silverware + money prizes

Maybe it’s a little different feeling to it cause in Europe lower tier leagues compete for those too and they’re very valuable for those teams either though they rarely win

I am Euro, I am not saying cup itself is boring, it isn't, I am very pro to it, I am just saying maybe name is. But they probably just named it NBA cup so they could easily attach sponsors name any time, like right now - Emirates NBA cup. But I was just saying, how is ''NBA cup'' cringe, I do not see anything cringe, if it was like ''Adam Silver's super duper in season tournament'', yeah, it could be cringe. But they went with safest, least cringe title imaginable. Its just NBA cup, like FA cup. FA cup also sounds boring, but its probably most prestigious cup tournament in Football right now.
