Could Cleveland tempt the Bucks with a Mobley/Garland for Giannis offer?

I don't think that's enough, but certainly it isn't a bad starting point.

Cleveland shouldn’t offer anything more than this. This is the best package the Cavs should consider if they decide to pursue Giannis. While an unprotected 2031 pick could be on the table, I wouldn’t include that alongside Garland or Mobley.

That's absolutely enough. I'd lean in the other direction and say it's too much. Not by alot, but still.

Maybe I'm not that high on Mobley and Garland as most... I consider Mobley's peak to be fringe all star, and Garland a fluke all star.... good players, but making 2 max slots and not making up for the production of a single superstar like Giannis. So I think it's an offer to consider, but I'd be inclined to look elsewhere, and I'd take an offer from the Rockets around a few of their youngsters (including Sheppard, Sengun and all of their best picks) over this one.

Zion/Jones for Giannis works money wise. Ingram/Jones also. NOP giving Mil their 2025 & 2027 pick back would be high value firsts. I think those two picks alone might be the same value as the OKC/HOU/SAS pick packages.

I think it's too little but not absurdly so. I think they'd demand Chet, but I could imagine thinking that Williams, Wallace, and 6-8 1sts is the best offer available for Giannis w/o Chet.

I would guess the Bucks keep him them. People seem to forget he is an MVP level player in his prime. You don’t trade that dude for picks and a third option. You

One of the things that makes OKC the more likely trade partner is apron concerns. MIL is well over the first apron, and can’t take back more salary than they send out, but so are many contenders that would most value Giannis. If they tried to make a deal, they’d need the salaries to match exactly, which is extremely difficult.

The Thunder look to be $16.5 mil under the first apron, so they have a wider window of potential salary matching, and can also help MIL lower their payroll to avoid some luxury taxes. People have mentioned CLE aand NOP, and they have to send out salaries in a window roughly within $4 mil under Giannis salary. LAL, MIA, NYK and six other high payroll teams would really struggle to make a legal deal.

The premise is clear: If Giannis doesn't ask out, there is no trade. So it doesn't matter what's offered, he's going nowhere. However if he asks out, the Bucks almost certainly accommodate and work with him on a destination and then its getting the best package possible from the team(s?) he wants to go to.

There is no scenario where its open bidding and the Bucks can 100% ensure an elite prospect on a rookie deal. That's not how these ever work. Bucks would never just trade Giannis somewhere he doesn't want to go.

Also its way premature to be discussing Giannis deals. I know the team is off to a terrible start and has very limited avenues to change up the roster, but when you have a Giannis, you give it more time before punting on the best player since Kareem/Oscar.

No, sorry. Even under your own premises your conclusion is flawed. Besides the fact that there's nothing to assume Giannis would demand a trade to OKC of all places (in fact, he's rumored to want to go to the Heat or Nets), Blazers (and previously Sixers with Simmons and Harden) just proved you don't HAVE to accomodate your stars whims at your franchise's expense. If Giannis asks out he'll have half the league to choose from, and there will be plenty of better offers than those scenarios you're defending. Pretty easily.

I said nothing about him demanding OKC. Don't assign that to me.

He would have a bunch of teams to choose from, but that doesn't mean he'd be cool with all of them. And sorry but the Bucks are not trading him to a place he doesn't want to go. Can't believe anyone really believes that.

As a Bucks fan here's a deal I would be interested in from OKC for Giannis.

Jalen Williams, Topic, Dort, Hartenstein, & Dieng, and 1st round picks for Giannis and Portis, either GTJ, or AJ Green

Then Bucks use Hartenstein ans Dieng to go out to get a Center. As I think if we hypothetically did this sort of trade you're trading Dame, and Brook Lopez also. Hopefully Middleton also but not withall his injuries.

Dort is a defensive beast, Jalen is good on D too. Topic would come back next year.

For OKC having SGA, Caruso, Chet, Giannis, Cason, Jaylin, I.Joe, A.Wiggins, Portis,etc. THAT'S one heck of a team and 100% Western Conference favorites.
