Horst getting a raw deal in the media. Of course he doesnt have leverage to fire Doc, because it was the owners who picked him!

Owners hand picking Doc and then blaming their General Manager for it not working is dirty work but someone has to do it (imo)

The leaks last year how frustrated the team was at him for this reason has me suspicious at least.

Doc was also saying ‘it’s not Dame and Giannis it’s a big 3 with Khris’ while expecting him to return any day now in camp.
Cant afford to pay Khris that kind of money to sit out out 1/3 of the season. He is not worth it since he can get hurt at any given moment.

Bobby, Marjon, and the 2031 2nd for Paul Reed.

Pistons are one of the only teams that have the space to do this. Saves us $7m and gets us under the 2nd apron.

Plus Reed is a reasonably serviceable back up big.

I don't see any reason for Milwaukee to be adding value to a Bobby/Marjon package for a player who was waived during the offseason. Paul Reed's trade value isn't on the same level as Bobby's even with him having a slow start to the season.

I'd probably be fine with any warm body that can play defense to replace Bobby's minutes at this point, but I admittedly don't understand the Paul Reed fascination. Doesn't really space the floor, gets deflections/blocks but no metrics really paint him as a significantly positive defender, and dude is an absolute foul machine. I guess he's decently efficient at the rim because of his athleticism, and puts up good per-minute numbers? Is he just Kyle O'Quinn 2.0?

I was just thinking that today. Half of our losses are against Boston and Cleveland and they've all been competitive. Probably should've won a couple. I mean, the Bucks have still been stinking up the joint, but it's not ALL bad.

Will you ever get it ?

What does replacing Portis with a mobile big or Caruso does for us ?

Nothing ... it honestly creates problems.

If we trade Bobby for the X mobile big it doesn't matter if WE START BROOK.... Brook is the problem and Giannis not playing Center.

If we get Caruso or someone similar ... all we do is creating a jam at the SG position ... will we cut AJ Green 's minutes AGAIN ? Are u efing serious? Get your brain together.

Portis is currently our 2nd squad Go To Scorer and our 2nd best rebounder after Giannis.
Did you see our 2nd squad ... they where not decisive enough to get their shots up ... Andre is passive, Brook is passive, they were all waiting Portis to shoot cause by themselves they could not get a decent shot up, our team lacks of handles and a pure point to setup the 2nd squad. Pat C is also pathetic ... Our 2nd squad can't score and replacing Bobby with a defensive minded mobile big there the bench can go scoreless for a whole quarter.

And stop it with the Portis team plus minus ... He is not playing with two Top 75 players, he plays with Pat C and the rest of our scrubs. He aint in his prime but he is still a double double machine.

I am OK trading anyone BUT it has to be a semi or whole roster rebuild. Portis is the least of our problems.

Yeah to the extent realgm can shift media narratives outside of our Baghdad Bob Milwaukee media market we can’t let this stand.

I’m also wondering when it breaks through that Khris has been obviously slow-walking his return/s to the court for multiple seasons now despite how badly his team needs him.

If it means we get the version of Khris that we got in the last playoffs, thats fine with me. We cannot be a sub 500 team without him and expect that he will save us. We need to figure out life without him, become a very good team, and have his return be the thing that puts us over the top into title contention.

KM spending time in games with his team becomes vital because:
1. Weak coaching (guys figure it out)
2. Disjointed big 2
3. Disjointed big 3
4. Confused defense

Furthermore, yeah him and BP did some nice hongo isolation ball but without running jointed, plays with successful variations -- we're gone 1st or 2nd round and nice isolation hongo ball isn't changing that, is it.

Wonder if there is a trade for Brook, Bobby and Conny that cuts cap and gets us better.

Would you guys ride out Middleton or trade him. I know he makes us better, but thats when he actually plays.

well, obviously, i wasn't saying that he should not play in the regular season at all. but give him 40 games to gel and then roll into the playoffs. i think the people who are demanding answers about Khris or are demanding that he plays asap need to be honest with themselves about why they feel that way. I suspect that it's because you want to feel good about this team again the quickest way possible. I saw what we were last year with the four horsemen healthy. I'm not losing sight of that.

Khris and Bobby in the playoffs last year aren't comparable. At all.

Legitimately forgot that Middleton exists.

I just need them to do two things:

- Convert Rollins to an affordable multi year deal similar to what we did with Green
- Trade Bobby for any backup big or combo forward that is remotely competent defensively

Give me those two things and I can live with the results this season.

I’m still squinting at Andrew Nicholson’s per 36 numbers

O'Quinn is always the first name that comes to mind in the "random 1st ballot Per-36 Hall of Fame dudes". Flanked of course by Cheik Diallo, Anthony Randolph, and that random season of Tony Wroten in Philly.

I could see a bad team trying to shed future salary taking on Brook’s expiring. Teams like Atlanta have guys like Deandre Hunter and Okongwu on long deals that haven’t panned out like they had hoped.

Brook and Bobby for DeAndre Hunter and Larry Nance actually sounds pretty good. Is that a legal trade?

Works perfectly fine as two separate deals. Not legal combined as we still come out of it above the 2nd apron, I believe.

Don't mind that one bit, though.
