I'm just being honest those knee on knee hits can lead to contusions. You can play through it but tomorrow morning things tend to swell up. Hopefully he'll be good.

It actually was a foul, and a very stupid one at that

No of course great comeback but you gotta finish the job

Onto the next one. Josh has gotta stay disciplined. That little dust up with LaVine got into his head.

This **** team man, I swear.. How many of these exact games have we seen over the years, usually at home? Here we are, playing like a bunch of stiffs in a hospital morgue only to suddenly come to life, scratch and claw all the way back, take the goddamn lead, only to piss it away right at the end??? Too many to count... What a kick in the **** teeth... God I'm sick... I know we all need to be patient (Ryan added to the bench and Payne back helps, now we need Achiuwa back and then Mitch, then we're finally whole!!!), but a good part of me is like **** THIS -- WE HAVE ENOUGH TO WIN NOW!!!! These games early on are just as important as games later in the season!!! Figure it the **** out already!!!

To start off with, Thibs, buddy, enough with being pressured by your own players to challenge stupid **** early... I was listening but didn't actually see it but I know we challenged an early play (ball "clearly off McBride" per ref addressing the crowd after they looked at it) that had no chance of winning. I'm not sure if that's what happened early in this game AGAIN, but regardless, we can't burn challenges early, PERIOD!!! And Thibs can't be pressured by his own guys to challenge... If I'm coach, I tell all the guys, look if any of you look at me and start yelling to challenge something, esp. early, you're getting FINED!!! To me the only way I challenge something early is in some unlikely scenario where say Towns is playing with 3 fouls in the first half and just got called for his 4th -- provided it's close, yeah, that's when you challenge early, to try to save a key guy his 4th foul!!! Outside of that, who cares???? Just play on...And think ahead on some of these challenges too -- NEVER challenge if the outcome only leads to a jump ball, not possession... I've seen that too! Ridiculous!!! To me the challenge is a gift to be used later in the game almost 100% of the time, that's it!!!!

I missed the whole end, I'm outside in the damn car waiting to pick my kid up at practice listening. I haven't even seen Hart's foul on White's 3-pt attempt yet, but my buddy's like you gotta see it, it was close.. Would've been nice to have had our challenge!! And how 'bout we don't let a young team like the Bulls come into the Garden and kick us around like a beer can in the street for over half a game!!

OK rant over...but man this one was tough boy!! I would've rather they got blown out!! Horrible loss that will sting for days.. It basically null and voids the good W from the night before!

------------------------

Here's what I think this team needs, mostly wishful thinking I guess but maybe some of it is doable:

(1) A true offensive assistant coach, like an offensive coordinator, to be right up Thibs' ass the whole game, someone to look at this current offensive and say, yeah nah, this isn't working, here's what we do...And not only that, it's the most predictable offensive in the whole league and pretty easy to scheme how to guard... Here's how we can get more out of Bridges, even more out of OG, etc.. So funny, but at least once every couple a games, the camera pans over Mo Cheeks and some older coach with a thick white beard I don't even recognize (is that Othella Harrington?) and it looks like they're just sitting there telling each other stories at the nearby old folks home. I mean all due respect, but are these guys bringing anything to the table? And hey you know what -- no sweat, keep these old Gs around if you want, they don't bother anyone, but go get me a good young offensive mind to bring some fresh ideas on that end of the floor!

(2) As good as Towns is, he needs a big next to him (either a 4 or 5) that not only does dirty work but also has a little bit of an all-around game.. I'm hoping that's Achiuwa and he's enough and then Mitch later on come January/February, but they need to be on the lookout for this type of player...And it doesn't even need to be some high-priced player... At the time, a lot of people thought Minny was nuts trading for Rudy Gobert when they already had Towns but you can clearly see why they did that now -- KAT really needs another tough no-nonsense big next to him that can do some dirty work. Here's hoping Achiuwa/Mitch is what we need here..

(3) My buddy mentioned this to me tonight -- the bench could clearly use one more skilled offensive player that can hunt shots and generate some offense on his own. I agree -- I think that would definitely help. There's not a day that goes by that I don't curse the league and their new salary rules. It cost guys jobs, bottom line... Look at TJ Warren -- he's played in 2 GL games for Westchester and had 35 and 30 (both games he played over 30 mins too which is a good sign for him that he's back to form and that his body can take it). Dude just turned 31, not like he's 35. He doesn't belong in the G-League. Crazy...I think he could help us and he's already in house somewhat... I tell you what though, if he keeps putting up 30 pt games, someone's going to swoop in and grab him.

(4) I know the plan was to convert Hukporti's contract, sign Ryan and hopefully sign Shamet later in the season at a reduced rate if/when he shows that his shoulder's ok... That's all well and good, but I'd like to see them do a little more.

(5) To support #4 above, unless someone has a better idea, I'd do anything I could do to try to pawn Jericho Sims off on a team that may need some big man depth.. I don't want anything in exchange, maybe a nothing 2nd round pick or cash -- all I want to do is shed his salary, something I don't think we could do if we just waived him (you guys tell me, maybe I'm wrong). I mean maybe we even include a 2nd rounder in order to dump him on some team that has ample cap room and is willing to absorb Sims and take a shot on him. To me, the man's useless. He's simply not an NBA big... Huk would then take over the Sims role and we use the Sims cap room, along with whatever else we might need to do (include Jacob Toppin?), to free up the money to sign TJ Warren. I think Warren would make a big difference for us, even for just 10-15 mins a night to start out.. The man's just a gifted scorer. He kinda reminds me of Alec Burks a little with his veteran smooth offensive game, only Warren's even a better scorer and bigger. I gotta believe they're searching for any way to add Warren to the roster eventually.. Please make it happen!!!

This was a GOAT post, you can add that Thibs is at fault for a lot of end of game scenarios
