No Deni, but as close as I think we've had all year to the lineup I want to see starting.

Smart move to keep Rob out.

Ayton can take as much time as he wants.

Simons' injury is really puzzling. I have yet to hear anything definitive, or even that he's getting tested for anything. Not checking social media as much these days to be immediately up to date with Woj gone and the orange turd back in everyones lives... that said, I haven't heard anything on any of the sports shows I listen to that I would think have updates. Danny Marang barely even mentioned it... just "something with his chest and breathing"... no word if he's getting tested or anything.

Hope he's ok, it's nothing serious, and he's asked out and just sitting for a trade.

Q1
Nice dish by Scoot to DC for the slam

Simons watching from home? That doesn’t sound like a guy whose long for this team

Clingan out already with two quick fouls

Acrobatic finish by Sharpe

DHO always good for a few turnovers a night

Not a fan of Banton playing over Murray, one is a team/system player the other is not

Q2
Liking the Scoot to DC connection

Avdija isn’t the only player struggling on a new team, DiVencenzo looks rough, liked him LY with NY

Clingan needs to work on finishing stronger, he is too big to finish as timid as he does

Nice put back by Murray

Scoot’s outside shot is still a work in progress

Sharpe is having an “on” night

Nice take by Scoot, goaltending count the bucket

I know I am a broken record but this team is immeasurably more watchable without Simons and Ayton.

It’s honestly impressive how much more enjoyable they are to watch without those 2.

I don’t understand how you go back to them after the absolutely wild change in effort, vibe, energy, intensity, etc. with them out.

We just can’t go back. They have to sit them until we find a taker.

Q3
Clingan just has a positive effect when he’s on the floor

How was that not a foul by Gobert on Scoot? Good take by Scoot nonetheless

Another great P&R interaction between Scoot and Clingan

Young guys playing well, I don’t buy that without vets on this team they would be worse

Camara keeps the ball alive, Scoot hits a 3

Murray with the aggressive dunk!!

Wild shot by Grant, leads to easy MIN bucket

Clingan great board & bucket, after a great block on the defensive end and keeping the ball in play

There could be some merit to bringing Deni off the bench if Scoot is starting. It makes it easier to always have Deni on the court as the PG whenever Scoot is off since they have no backup PG.

There’s never merit to spending 2 FRPs on a backup… never.

Great pass by Clingan to Murray for an easy dunk, and then he just smothers Reid on the defensive end and then steals the inbound

Avdija 3!!!

Clingan 5th block!!!

6th block, Randle the victim

7th, I don’t think so Gobert

Sharpe with a thunderous put back dunk

DC #8, took a shot below the belt though

Avdija called for a foul on a clean block of Gobert

Sharpe goes 1v1 vs Edwards and then beats Gobert for the score

Sharpe with a 3, then beats Gobert on a drive for a score career high 31

That’s ballgame, love to see the play from the young guys, but we need a high lottery pick

I mean that is why we want to trade them and keep the other players, those are the ones worth keeping for a reason.

But if they ever had any value then after the team being better without them they won't have much left. I still think it's hard to trade players who aren't playing but maybe it just can't get any worse than it is.

I'm not sure we can capture the Flagg if we don't play them tho. These kids are playing winning basketball which is good for the team but bad for the tank.

Yikes. Minny is not impressive anymore. Shocking change from last season.

Clingan looks so good. Really hopes he gets more starts and Ayton just takes it easy.

Same with Simons. If yesterday was the last 5min we ever see of him as a Blazer, I'll be OK with that.

So how do you keep Simons and Ayton from not suiting up again? I know they need to play or it will hurt their value along with the fact they help us tank for the draft. But at the same time, I don't miss them.

Indiana have a ton of young talent and draft picks/assets. Maybe give them a call about Ayton ? They did sign him as a RFA a couple of years ago but Phoenix matched it.And they have a big man shortage this season due to bad luck of injuries

Sorry for intruding, I do like Portland (Terry Porter was one of my favourite players as a kid despite being a Celtics stan) and I would love to see the Blazers successful and contending in play-offs again soon.

Also the support the Oregon community gives Payton Pritchard every time he plays in Portland is amazing. We all love the kid !

Best of luck for the rest of the season folks.

Wow, my opinion of the team without Simons and Ayton is vastly different. They play some really great team basketball, aside from some hero ball by sharpe at the end, which worked out.

I still think Edey will be the better player long term but Clingan is looking like all defensive team already. Holy smokes, the guy looked like he was gonna have a triple double in blocks, how many people have done that?

Banton plays with an edge I haven't seen in a long time on this team. I wish Sharpe had his motor.

Only caught the second half because i was watching the uap hearing... :o

This is the Sharpe we want to see, obviously.

Undeniably great game for Clingan. I can’t wait for him to add some muscle and lean down a bit.

The Blazers are so much better without Simons masquerading as a PG.
