My first reaction is definitely not “trade Dame” after an all-time Giannis performance to beat the Pistons. We’re very likely giving away the best player in that deal.

Go look at Dame’s numbers from the playoffs last year. I’ll take my chances with Giannis, Dame, and Khris.

The Bucks were 19 points/100 better with Dame off the floor in last years playoffs. He hurt both the offense and defense.

One of the Bucks biggest issues is that they play so many replacement level players, even starters. Breaking Dame in to 3 players can have a huge impact of we get complete players.

Did I hear Marques say that Giannis has been working with Drew Hanlen? Thought I might have heard that.

Giannis could average 40 if he played 44 min a game with no jumper, If he shot his free throws like he did tonight.

It's amazing how little Detroit doubled Giannis despite our lack of scorers on the floor last night.

The jump hook has been huge for Giannis this year, far more reliable than the push shot he was using.

We need Dame for the ball handling and ability to break down defenses. His 3 point shooting is streaky in Milwaukee and we'll have to live with that.

My immediate thought on witnessing one of the greatest "put the team on my back" performances ever by Giannis:

"Hell yeah, the fanbase deserves this!"

Immediately seeing a flood of "trade Dame" posts after we beat two lottery teams to climb to 4-8:

"Yeah.....the fanbase deserves this"

We haven't played great competition, but I've been encouraged by the pace of play and shot diet over the last 2. I don't want to send Dame down the river, but I do want him to be part of an offense that is getting into action quickly, and taking good shots.

Right, the Lakers used to get regular season win streaks without Kobe and guys would get excited by some more shots and touches... but dude got them 5 rings; were they really better without Kobe? Would they have gotten those rings? Nah lol

Think that is the right strategy. Don’t let role players get hot and let Giannis tire himself out. Almost worked.

Yeah, as much as I would love to see a consistent midrange game from Giannis...if he hit around 80% or higher from the FT line we would have so many wins.

Welll.... there was that eerily familiar wall they had where GA was trying to barrel through them and was holding his knee at one point.

"We can just ride Giannis to 60 points every night" coming from the same crowd as the "we had to work Giannis too hard last year so he broke apart for the playoffs."

Get healthy, make Khris actually play basketball and get some of his playmaking in there (once again, we are stuck with having only two actual playmakers in the rotation with Midds sidelined) and watch this team play markedly better.

Incredible game by Giannis. He put this team and the city on his back. Love that guy.

And I’m only for trading Dame if we get significant young talent and picks. Obviously I’d prefer for him to play up to his potential and be the player we thought he’d be. But he may also be our best chance to get younger and retool on the fly.
