This is like the third time he's tweaked his shot and the NBA online discourse freaks out every time a practice video is shown

How's is going, Dad? Tired?

Perpetually  My older son is starting to watch some games with me, so that's fun.

Now we just need these Knicks to start gelling and be consistently worth the watch.

Mikal is deadly in the mid range but currently terrible from 3pt range. He's gotta go back to what was working in his 38% season... I'm sure he will.

That turn around fade in the mid range is automatic. If only we ran plays.

That's great! Precious moments (no pun intended) no doubt. Is he old enough to where you can begin to explain what drop defenses are yet?

I have to say, this dude has been a huge disappointment.

It has nothing to do with his shooting. It's his defense and attitude. He looks like he's sleep walking out there, defense is non existent. He has zero of the edge and passion DDV had for us. Donte was better.

He's shooting a career low from three, over his last 6 games he's shooting .237% from three, he's basically stopped taking above the break threes as well and driving like Josh when he's open. If it's not a corner three he's not taking it, and if he does take it he's going to miss.

His three point shot is completely and utterly broken.

This year's version of Mikal with last year's above the break 3 point shooting would be a really good top 2 offensive option. I don't mind him tweaking his mechanics on his jump shot. Many great shooters do it. My issue is that the mechanics in game are so inconsistent from shot to shot from 3 that I don't know how he will be able to pinpoint specific problems and fix them.

He is also a bit of a clunky fit with the roster currently with Brunson dominating the ball while trying to keep KAT involved in the offense and Hart handling the ball so that he is less of an off ball liability. Bridges is first on the team in minutes but 6th in time of possession while getting similar touches to OG despite showing that he is a much more capable on-ball player. Combine that with the incredibly slow pace the team plays it's going to be difficult for certain players to have a true offensive impact in some games.

He is playing off ball to guys that aren't really natural playmakers no matter if he is playing with the first or second unit. Bridges is being used as a 3 and D player that he has not been in years. Even in Phoenix some of the fans were beginning to complain about his ability to stay in front of smaller guards and he has added many miles on his legs since then.

It would be nice if we had an offensive system that naturally kept all players involved in the game. I'm not sure how to fix the defensive issues but hopefully the guys become more comfortable with each other on both ends of the court.

I still have no idea why they traded so many picks for Mikal if this was the way they planned to use him. OG is arguably the best "3 and D" guy in the league but I can't imagine the front office would have ever offered the Mikal package for OG.

I'm not nervous at all about Mikal. He'll get it together soon I'm sure.

11 games in on a new team of killers- every single one of these players can score. But there is concern about Mikal?
This is going to age well…
And let me say this... how many shots do you think is available for an entire team? How many will Kat get? Brunson? OG? Hart? And then Mikal?
This thread is going to age well…

Mikal was supposed to be a championship building block, but has so far been nothing short of a square peg in a round hole.
