I think you'd have to be living under a rock to not be aware that Taylor Swift is in town, and the city is buzzing. The energy is palpable, and I'm not even downtown.

Are you and/or anyone in your circle going to one of the six shows?

Is your commute affected in any way?

Not a fan myself, but it seems like good clean fun so far. Hopefully it stays that way.

LOL I'm laughing at all the male fans that were going wild over this. Not saying she doesn't make good music but there's no way I'd be freaking out like a teen girl. The interviews shown on CP24 were hilarious.

The fact that I'm not seeing any of this shows how much I've disconnected myself from downtown Toronto lol. Funny given my workplace is literally connected to Scotiabank. Hopefully I am never forced back into the office more than 2 or 3 times a year. :)

Saw the lineups on my way home to union at 4pm. Longer than Bluejays giveaway games. Majority white girls, some wearing sparkly colourful dresses - it was quite cold outside

Someone explain to me how a Swift concert is any busier than a normal playoff game at the Rogers Center?

At least with sports, local bars are packed because you can watch the game there. The Swift concert is literally only being seen by people in the building with no one else in the city having that access.

Remote work is the greatest thing ever, I haven't had to work on site anywhere since 2017.

I guess my only counter would be that some of these people, men included, have grown up with her music.

Is it a bit weird? Yeah. But it seems mostly harmless.

Curious how many Americans made the trip with the favourable conversion rate.

It's not just one concert, so I think people are still trying to score tickets for one of the other shows. And I guess, take in the buzz? I dunno.

I have a nephew who is working at the Rogers Centre on one of those nights.

Well its the same except the crowd is crazier and the media circus is pumped up. Can probably fit more people though as there is no field.

Yaya of course. I know it's harmless but just amusing to see grown ass men acting like teen girls lol.

Thankfully, my daughter's not into Taylor Swift so wallet safe.

And don't usually venture into Downtown so will make sure it stays that way next couple of weeks.

I don't get it.

Why is the biggest pop star in the world 35? Did the Gen Z generation just not produce any stars or the labels just never pushed new ones? In the past you couldn't really be a pop star on this level past 30 years old. You either died or aged out of peak fame. I don't get this world anymore. Must be an old ****.

I live a few minutes from skydome and doesn’t seem too crazy, just see a bunch of women cosplaying as Taylor swift walking by my area.

My daughter and her 3 cousins from Winnipeg are at the concert. Taylor Swift just came on stage and daughter has been FaceTiming us. She is sitting in row 7 behind the 1st base dugout. The stage covers the length of the field from centre field to second base. Great seats. If there are any guys at the Rogers Centre I couldn’t see them.

I didn’t want to drive downtown for a midnight pick up, so yesterday I booked them a hotel room near Scotiabank.

My sister in-law rents out music halls across Toronto for something called "swifty parties" and makes a boatload of money by charging big gate fees where all she does is just pop a taylor swift cd into an amp system and calls it a day.

What I’m seeing on FaceTime. Everyone is standing. Everyone is singing every word. Everyone has their phone up.
