GT: Oregon at Wisconsin - 11/16/24 - 6:30 - NBC

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Fri Nov 15, 2024 12:39 pm

After an embarrassing loss at Iowa and a week off the Badgers face #1 Oregon. Anything can happen I guess but I can't imagine this is a win.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Still looking forward to this one, though after that Iowa game I'm a little terrified of the number Oregon might put up.

Expect UW to look good on their opening drive, settle for a fg, then lose 41 to 6.

Contemplating crossing the border to bet on the Ducks.

Yep, 13.5 seems very much like easy money.

If this game was at Eugene, I would be there today. Hoping for the upset but yeah that isn't happening.

I may come to regret saying this but I don't think Oregon is traditional #1 team caliber awesome. They're not Georgia recently where they're loaded with high first round picks on both sides of the ball. They're not that talented. This is a scheme team, the kind the Badgers should probably aspire to.

I think tonight comes down to the front vs Gabriel. If he's comfortable, it's gonna be long night. Stewart and Tez could hit big ones in a heartbeat and put Wisconsin in a deficit they're not gonna come out of.

Badgers front seven are gonna have to have the games of their lives, and Locke needs to protect the ball. Maybe it could be close in the 4th.

Go Bucky.

Hopefully, Locke can remove his head from his ass for a few plays.

Defense is pretty good, Iowa game aside. Offense is just anemic.

At what point do you just think as a coach. This guy is actively hurting the team

I don't know what you guys are expecting Locke to do when he's being forced to throw on third and 10 every game possession. They can't run on early downs against good teams.

on 2nd and 10 he threw the ball right at a defensive linemen. The other 2nd and 10 he missed a wide open back on a checkdown

Throw it on 1st and 10. Every down until the running game opens up. So far this has been the same stupid story as every other loss. Runs on first down that go no where, and defenses teeing off on 2nd and 3rd.
