I didn't see any Penguin finale discussions, but I honestly think it ranks second only behind The Dark Knight in terms of Batman universe content, and that's without a single appearance from the caped crusader. Just outstanding all around.

Now that Yellowstone is winding down and his latest show Landman starting up this weekend, let's talk Taylor Sheridan. He's all over the place now, probably spreading himself too thin but here are my thoughts, YMMV.

Movies:
Vile - Directed but didn't write. I haven't seen this.

Sicario - Writer. Saw it, liked it a lot. Great cast, Josh Brolin, Emily Blunt, Benico del Toro, Jon Bernthal

Hell or High Water - Writer. Great movie. Sheridan has a cameo

Wind River - Writer and Director - Liked it. Jeremy Renner

Sicario: Day of the Soldado - Writer, Liked it a lot. Josh Brolin, Benico del Toro. He had planned Sicario to be a trilogy so there will be a third.

Without Remorse - Writer (from a Tom Clancy book) - Liked it, Michael B. Jordan

Those Who Wish me Dead - Writer and Director - Liked it. Angelina Jolie, Aidan Gillen, Jon Bernthal

TV
Yellowstone - Creator, Writer, Director. I initially liked it but it's run it's course. Ends next month, possible spin off. He acted in a few episodes.

Mayor of Kingstown - Creator, Writer, Director - He wrote all of season 1, passed it on to other writers for seasons 2 and 3. I like this show. Jeremy Renner, Hugh Dillon

1883 - Yellowstone prequel, Creator, writer, director - Really well done. One and done. He acts some in this one.

Tulsa King - Creator, wrote the first episode. Terrance Winter (Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos) was the showrunner and writer, now just one of the writers. Just wrapping up season 2. Stallone as a mobster in Tulsa, dramedy. I like.

1923 - Creator and writer. Yellowstone prequel. One season with one more to go. Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren. Good show.

Lioness - Season 2 airing now. Creator, Writer, Director - Good show. He acts some in this one.

Landman - Creator and writer. Upcoming this weekend. Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We have Sheridan to blame for Without Remorse and Those Who Wish Me Dead? I'd forgotten about that. Both are among the worst adaptations in recent memory. Just god awful.

Yeah, I made it about 10-minutes into Without Remorse before turning it off. It's a crime to butcher Tom Clancy material like that. I am loving Lioness though. Season 2 so far is better than S1 IMO.

Without Remorse read like a perfect thriller/action movie when it came out in '93. It's inexplicable what they did to the movie. Same with TWWMD, tbh.

This reminds me I need to get back to reading more. I have several books on my Kindle I haven't read. I love it and used to be a voracious reader. Now I get sucked into online and streaming that takes up so much of my free time.

It really needed to be a period piece and the origin story of John Kelley. Instead they did whatever the f they did.

It was a perfectly fine movie, but it was definitely not Without Remorse.

I got my girl a Kindle this fall and amazon sent me a second one by mistake and I haven't got along to setting it up yet. I should do that.

first episode of Silo was solid.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I’m loving slow horses. Fetting caught up, I’m on season three episode three. Gary Oldman is incredible. He could be the most disgusting hero in television history. I feel like that dudes a gift. Rest of the cast is very likable as well and the stories, just enough to keep me entertained. Five out of five from me.

OH! ONE EXCEPTION. The slough house surveillance/psyop guy is creepy AF. Like a predator. But even that is a compliment to the writing, so…

I really like this show, but I feel like the overarching story in each season is unnecessarily convoluted. They have good actors, characters, and dialogue, but the end of each season is a let down for me.

Agreed, I finished season 3 and the transition to season 4 was strange, as if there was zero fallout. Also, the season 3 finale was difficult (at best) to believe.

Not liking the start to Season 4 and based on your feedback I shouldn't expect a great wrap-up.

I guess I spoke too soon!

Was the brightness on my TV too low (haven’t had this issue with any other shows). I was squinting most of the episode to try and see what was happening, it was really annoying.

I know nothing about LOL and don't watch many animated shows. Should I still start it tonight?

I still really like the show. It just seems like it's intentional confusing at times, when in reality it's pretty simple in the end.

NO. I had to change my TV settings too.

You don't need to know anything about the game. I didn't when I first started the show and still don't lol.

Season premiere of Silo was great.

Spoiler:
Very excited to see how they explore the other silos and their backstories. They absolutely fooled me into thinking the opening scene was a flashback to the failed rebellion, only for it to actually be the successful (and self destructive) rebellion of the neighboring silo. Thought that was a brilliant reveal and exploration of the theme of rebellion against authority being instinctual and inevitable.
