Looking forward to seeing Baylor play better with Boston in the near future.

He just has to get used to the speed of the NBA.

On the G level he can rebound. His passing is there, like really good. Defense though... that part of the game will need lots of labor for him to become an NBAer.

I saw a comment on YT around the draft saying maybe he can be a Max Strus type player. Well, if he's gonna be a Max Strus type player then I don't want him. Strus is a terrible defender and from what I saw, he hurts you more than he helps you. This team has the horses to win, they need players who can come in for a minute and not hurt the team. Zero points but a few rebounds and good defense is a win win for me.

Now, can a 24 year old Rico buy into that? He has 2 years of guaranteed money, I'm interested to see if he follows their plan. He should look at JD and see what not to do, because JD has had 2 full seasons to get better on the defensive end and he hasn't gotten any better. He's an empty stat packer. Defense is what got Walsh to stay with the big club for now. And Jordan isn't getting garbage blowout minutes.

Damn, I got into a JD rant.

I see a really good college player but I don't see another step to get up to in the league. Nothing seems to come easy for his physical and skill type.

I don't know. If you watch it on your phone and squint (a lot) he looks like G-League Luka!

I believe that he's still with Maine.

Is being the all time scoring leader for a G League team a good thing :dontknow: :D

One day you tell your grandkid that you were your G League teams all time leading scorer and he'll say "how long were you stuck in the G League grandpa?"

It’s better than saying you were just a high school star. Why is it something to laugh at? This is the second highest level in the USA. Thousands of players don’t make it, people who think they are better than JD or any of those guys, they’d probably destroy most of them.

Peterson better be a sniper from 3 if he wants to move up. He can’t defend and he’s horrible with the ball. He’s was terrible with “PG” duties since SL. Don’t remember if he was last season.

Why didn’t Baylor start, is it because Peterson has seniority? Peterson is a good GL player, not denying it, but Rico deserved to start based on who has been with the team and his excellent first two games.

Last Season Peterson had to step-into the PG-role, when JD Davison and DJ Steward were both out for an extended period.
He's normally a PF/SF.
