The NBA cup will be much more interesting once they let Euro/International Teams compete in it, similar to the Football Champions League Tournament.

Sure that will happen eventually

Castle is starting to come around. I had him as the best rookie in the draft before the season.

Philly are going to be paying Paul George 56 million in 2028, aged 37. Tough

The true purpose of the NBA Cup

Post#73 » by Godymas » Sat Nov 16, 2024 1:30 am

Imagine, it's Friday night, you're a tired dad from the work week. After having a hearty family dinner, you sit down on the couch to enjoy some quality time in front of the TV and an ice cold beer.

Flipping past re-runs, talk shows, no football today, unfortunately. As you keep flipping you hit a basketball game, and then pause because something catches your eye.

This is the NBA, but something seems..different? The court has a strange design, the logos are different and your favorite Airline brand EMIRATES is plastered all over the floor. The infographic says "West B". What could this possibly be? The playoffs aren't for months and it isn't March.

Before you know it, you're watching the game, the court, the play, the championship that is being played for, the new stars being highlighted.

You've given the NBA more viewership, you've given Emirates justification to keep spending money, and it all happened because the NBA found an excuse to play on a different court.

4 point game at the half… not having Mobley is hurting them defensively.

it's weird, it looks like they aren't counting overtime in the point differentials.

the pistons beat the heat by 2 in overtime and beat the raps by 4 so they should be +6 but they're listed at +4. the heat lost by 2 in OT to the pistons but beat the pacers by 13 so they should be +11 but they're listed at +13. the kings/timberwolves OT game looks to be the same.

the wolves beat sacramento by 4 but lost to the blazers by 14, their PD is -14. the kings are 0-1 but have a point differential of 0 lol.

i never knew that, i wonder if that's just for the tournament scoring or if the regular season always counts point differential like that.
