I appreciate that you answered my question, but is this something people care about? I care about who wins the finals. In-season champs? . . . it feels alien to me, even if the Knicks get a plaque for it. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I'm the minority that does care. I think the majority of fans agree with you - its worthless. I just think it would be cool to actually win something even if it's an in season tournament.

When you have a guy who challenges shots in the paint, at the rim and in the defensive circle, it's hard to also collect the defensive board. If you want shot blocker, you have to put up with someone who isn't going to get most of the defensive rebounds as well...unless you want a guy like R***** who never challenges shots but fights teammates for boards so he can get his 10 every game.

Context...

Dude has fast hands, fast feet, is aware on defense and Huk has that intense edge on the court that slomo Sims just doesn't have.

Some TERRIBLE calls against OG and then we couldn't play defense. Cam Thomas was red hot and Shroeder got hot down the stretch. Brunson went hero ball but he was hitting down the stretch.

30min 7pts, 4rbs, 3ast, 4blks

Yet he was a -4 while Sims was a +6...so don't ever use that stat again or get lauged at.

Between Huk, Precious , and Mitch we should look like a different team when they're all in the rotation

Huk has the defensive awareness and basketball instincts that I don't think Sims will ever develop. I'm glad Thibs stuck with him at the end.

Seeing as we didn’t have the guy that just had 46 and 10. And we might’ve seen Huk take a step into the rotation. And we saw Mikal have the best game of his season. And we saw a team that could’ve folded but had a huge shot and defensive stop to end the game. I think there were a couple of positives in this game absolutely.

I expect a team that traded two quality players and 5 1st round picks to acquire players around Brunson that can put away low quality opponents easily, not struggle to beat them because their best player had to make a clutch shot with less than 5 seconds left.

Knicks let the opponent take 10 more 3 pointers than them, again. Hit them at a higher rate. Again.

Thibs isn't it, and I've defended him as much as anyone on here. Floor raiser, ceiling limiter.

You’re underestimating the Nets. They beat the Grizzlies and were in close games with Boston and Cleveland. They play hard and hate the Knicks. The Knicks were without 4 key role players including their all star center. I’m not saying Thibs is the answer but the fact we started Sims and won a game is a good thing.

I think the stat keeper didn't award him the final rebound thinking it came after the final horn but it came just before it so he should have 5rbs for the game. I was looking at the box score with a few mins left in the game and noticed he had 4rbs which was the same number of blocks. He got robbed!

I don’t think Jericho has been as bad as folks are saying on here.

But it’s time to free Huck Sporty.

I agree Jericho isnt as bad but Sims can't be part of a rotation that wants to be looked at as a deep playoff team. He's still way too raw and extremely limited.

Hukporti impacts the game a lot more already. Even in dunking, he's way better in game than Sims is, finishing on defenders.
