The bar has been set pretty high. We have an early submission for worst post of the season.

Good. This has been some bull crap.

Still not over the play a few games back vs Indy where Towns literally jumped away from the play and didn't touch the guy and got called for the foul. How do you play defense when **** like that is going on?

couple things made me happy this game. first was clyde passive aggressively calling out thibs all game long for playing sims over huk. second was hukporti getting that big slam in transition and everyone on the bench getting hyped up...except jericho sims who was stone faced and realizing he SHOULD be losing all his damn minutes

the one saving grace sims has is that he's a much better rebounder than hukporti

I noticed that. Huk is an aggressor on both ends but he doesn't really box that well. They got a lot of second opportunities tonight.

Most important takeaway: Bridges 4-7 from three.

This game was scripted to be interesting towards the end since nobody gives a crap about the in-season tournament.

At least you play him only with Towns or Achiuwa on the floor

Look at the team celebrate the Mikal block at the end of the game, everyone except Sims is celebrating. Probably because he knows his time in the lineup is limited or done now.

And Sims was stone faced after Huk’s big dunk. Honestly, Jericho should be happy. He’s made several million dollars out of this whole charade. Time for him to sail into the sunset

Refs were terrible, but I am glad Hukporti showed what he can do in the last game he'll ever play.

This was another peculiar game, hard to break down in some ways.

Jalen made some key buckets and maybe that gets him going a bit. Still some head scratching moments but hopefully he’s putting the pieces together.

Refs made a lot of errors and every 50/50 seemed to go Brooklyn’s way.

As most have said, Cam needs to chill on his Kobe impression. He can be such a nice piece for us if he finds the balance and gets others involved.

Huk does a good job of going straight up and / or has nice timing on his blocks. Hopefully he can improve his passing and rebounding.

Nice to get a win during this period of growing pains.

Just watched the highlights...

End of the game it's what it's all about at least for me: camaraderie, players genuinely happy for each other's success..

JB is a true superstar in my book, he can and is willing to do whatever it takes to win, defer to KAT or be the man. He just missed a game winner and we lost by 1 in the last game, and he's taking another shot that if missed we'd have lost by 1 again, but he wants it. Perfectly comfortable with JB taking the last shot every time.

Give all Sims' mins to Huk NOW. Four blocks??? And he can pass! He's perfect for our system while Mitch is out !! When he plays we play better defense AND offense as a team, and we just play with better energy as a team with him, just makes no sense to keep giving Sims more mins based on seniority. Huk reminds me of DALE DAVIS a lot, but Huk may be more athletic.

I love Pac and Kolek too, we got fearless rooks!

Love Ryan and Toppin happy for the team's W even if they didn't play!

The ball movement was just A LOT better the whole game... without KAT... hmmmm

Dood is such a beast, this was 4 years ago, can you imagine how even more polished his game is now? Dood is sitting there, on the bench, essentially Mitch lite with an offensive game, while Thibs force feeds us Sims game after game. This dummy better start playing Huk more man, I’ve been beating this drum since the start of the season.

Nah brother. It was worse.

Highlights aren’t going to tell you the full story.

25 assists vs Brooklyn / 31 vs Chicago. That’s obviously not the be all and end all stat but there was plenty of iso ball…. and KAT has shown himself to be a skilled and willing passer.

What's the benefit to wining the cup? It's money for the players, right, but it doesn't affect anything else.

I appreciate that you answered my question, but is this something people care about? I care about who wins the finals. In-season champs? . . . it feels alien to me, even if the Knicks get a plaque for it. Am I the only one who feels this way?

The Cup takes away from the gravity of the Finals. It's the stupidest ever by the NBA - damaging its flagship product for short-term views in the regular season and an artificial trophy.

Soccer cups are meaningful because they incorporate teams from lower domestic leagues that would otherwise have no opportunity to play the big players. So it's a different pool of participants. To organize a Cup with the exact same teams, with wins still counting for league results, is devoid of meaning. It's just fiddling with the schedule and somehow putting a trophy in the end to pretend it matters.

And by saying it matters, they're communicating the NBA Finals isn't the end-all-be-all it has always been. And while they all congratulated themselves over the uptick in ratings for the Cup last year (novelty effect), the NBA generated even less interest in the Finals last year. The 2024 Finals was the least watched Finals in the last 50 years, outside of the COVID years.

Their short-sightedness is unbelievable.

I hope the Knicks never win this stupid Cup because James Dolan isn't above throwing a parade for this, and it will be the most anticlimactic thing you can imagine.

It's not about KAT being able or not being able to pass... I just noted the 4 players without the ball were more active... passes had more convincing and certain energy to it... with KAT only 1-2 guys without the ball like Mikal moved the rest just stood ball watching
