MY CAPTAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jalen Brunson Folkssssssss JALENNNNN BRUNSONNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sick of this ****. You can't pick on him all night and then do **** like this when he does what he always does. Next time I see this flip flop crap it's a night off.

Yea man not for nothing, Green Arrow can’t be saying it’s time to trade Jalen in one take, then in another says he’s his captain. Either rock with him the whole time or none at all

Yes he can.

GreenArrow is our guru and we will follow him wherever, for we know it leads to the promised land.

Men are full of conviction. Gods consider all options, and don't let earthly afflictions such as ego or stubbornness cloud their search for truth.

Have some faith.

End of the game it's what it's all about at least for me: camaraderie, players genuinely happy for each other's success..

JB is a true superstar in my book, he can and is willing to do whatever it takes to win, defer to KAT or be the man. He just missed a game winner and we lost by 1 in the last game, and he's taking another shot that if missed we'd have lost by 1 again, but he wants it. Perfectly comfortable with JB taking the last shot every time.

Give all Sims' mins to Huk NOW. Four blocks??? And he can pass! He's perfect for our system while Mitch is out !! When he plays we play better defense AND offense as a team, and we just play with better energy as a team with him, just makes no sense to keep giving Sims more mins based on seniority. Huk reminds me of DALE DAVIS a lot, but Huk may be more athletic.

I love Pac and Kolek too, we got fearless rooks!

Love Ryan and Toppin happy for the team's W even if they didn't play!

The ball movement was just A LOT better the whole game... without KAT... hmmmm

Nah brother. It was worse.

Highlights aren’t going to tell you the full story.

25 assists vs Brooklyn / 31 vs Chicago. That’s obviously not the be all and end all stat but there was plenty of iso ball…. and KAT has shown himself to be a skilled and willing passer.

It's not about KAT being able or not being able to pass... I just noted the 4 players without the ball were more active... passes had more convincing and certain energy to it... with KAT only 1-2 guys without the ball like Mikal moved the rest just stood ball watching

I’m going to have to disagree. The KAT / Brunson tandem has a long way to go but for me that’s largely on Jalen learning new passes (e.g. behind the back bounce passes to the top of the arc 3, pocket passes, etc).

KAT has been doing a good job of making quick decisions, whether that be to try to score or to move the ball on.

Overall vs Brooklyn we got away with the win but the main difference was Jalen hit the shots he was narrowly missing in previous games.

Brooklyn had 27 assists on 39 made baskets. We were 25 on 44.

Stoked to see JB being mobbed but then ran over to Mikal to give him props, cap showing to the team the block was as big as a game winning shot, win together, lose together... this type of stuff builds camaraderie... the good vibes from last season is starting to come back ..?

And I want Mikal to be aggressive when he gets the ball: go to your sweet spot, be a feared mid range scorer, operate and cook, or make plays for others... but don't just be a keg and pass and just stand around... be aggressive that's when he's at his best

I'm sick of Thibs again. It is always a matter of injuries before he plays guys we needed all along. Hukporti should have been playing more. Kolek/Dadiet could have played more as well but, Hukporti was needed. This constant shortening of the rotation for 82 games is going to hurt as it always does. I cannot stand it. The constant obsession with rim protection over everything else when the league is clearly all about three point shooting is another major flaw. The lack of shooting threes is another major flaw. It's mind numbing.

Losing multiple rotation players should open up opportunities for the rest of the bench. Not here. It puts more workload on fewer players. Sick of it.

Waiting to get Precious and Mitch back should not be the answer. Adjustments in the meantime should.

It's early and things will take time but, these things never change. It's going to be a problem again when the playoffs roll around. We all know it.

Shyt is so funny it's ridiculous. Thibs let's Sims play in every previous game over Hukporti and when Towns is out he let's Hukporti start. What's the logic to this?

Sims started both the first & third quarters.

But yes, we’ll be 6 feet under before we understand the inner workings of Thibs’ mind

Sims started both the first & third quarters.

But yes, we’ll be 6 feet under before we understand the inner workings of Thibs’ mind

Sims has played three years in the NBA. Hukporti is a rookie drafted in the second round. Sims has seniority so it's his spot to lose.

Thibs is giving Sims the opportunity to keep his spot. Once it's undeniable Sims isn't helping the team after a decent amount of games, I think then Thibs will entrust Hukporti.

Agreed, that’s the only plausible explanation as to his line of thinking.

My chief grievance is more of a lateral complaint to the above. I work in sports medicine and I lose my **** over the extremely short rotation. Maybe I just need to build a bridge

Just saw a pretty amazing stat in the general board.

“The Thunder currently leads the league in defensive rating, steals, blocks and turnovers forced per game”

—-

“The Oklahoma City Thunder currently have the greatest defense ever

Relative to era the best defense ever is the 2004 Spurs - whose defense was 8.8 points better than league average

Currently the Thunder are 12.2 points better than league average”

Well he went back to the more veteran starter in the third. But otherwise Hukporti played much better so Thibs rode with him for more minutes including end of game. Which is the kind of flexible adjustment you want to see. Just need more of that, like playing offense defense with JB and Deuce at ends of close games like Chicago
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

There is not one single thing that Sims does better than Huk.

I suppose it’s better late than never. Huk needs to be in the rotation going forward.

And keep giving spot minutes to the other rookies.

I don’t get the Sims thing and never have but this is the answer. He’s not just gonna throw in a rookie over someone who has been with the team and they’ve been working on. And to me Hukporti doesn’t look like a guy who should be out there more than spot minutes at best anyway. Sims shouldn’t even be in the nba

However by the time we get to this point of him playing over Sims Precious will come back and bump them both down and Mitch may or may not decide to play and bump them both down and we may not see either of them play in an ideal world
