Would luv Brogdan. He'd be perfect for us....if he could get healthy. Looks almost ready to come back from thumb injury.
As ineffective as Fontecchio has been though, I'd still prefer to keep him.
Washington would need some motivation to do this and not sure we can get enough money together to get him.

Re: Go...get our vet PG
I'd still rather take advantage of our 10mil in space plus our expiring of THJR along with Fontecchio and Reed for Ingram and 2 minimum scrubs. Or just Tobias plus draft picks for ingram.
Duren Stew
Tobias Ingram Ausar Holland
Cade Ivey Beasley
It sure seems coincidental that Tobias signed for the perfect amount on a 2 year deal that combined with our remaining cap space equals Ingram. Dec15th Tobias can be dealt?
Lol, Pelicans wouldn't go for that i know

Re: Go...get our vet PG
BI is a $36 million expiring who wants a max deal from whoever trades for him. I think New Orleans is going to want some younger talent locked into a rookie deal since they are having so many injury issues this year. Ausar + THJ works, gives them a big expiring and a young player with upside in Ausar. I think that's a deal they'd be more likely to take than simply Harris. I think if we want BI we'd have to give up at least one of the following combined with THJr.
Ausar
or
Ivey
or
Duren + Sasser

He's in Philly with his pal Paul George.
Langdon already had the opportunity to take on Reggie alongside assets from Charlotte and said no. I doubt he's going to trade for the guy now.

I prefer to stay with Ausar, rather than Holland. And Ivey for me is non-transferable right now
Ingram by Stewart and Holland, or Ingram by THJr and Holland
But always with the confirmation of a renewal agreed with Ingram
130Mx4, and decreasing to make it interesting for what he would charge in the first years (40M, 40M, 30M and 20M).

Re: Go...get our vet PG
Langdon didn't know Cade would still be coming down court and throwing left hand passes from mid court to the corner all the way out of bounds for no reason. A bet a vet PG has crept up the priority list just a tad since the first tip off.Crymson wrote:DetroitSho wrote:Here me out.............Reggie Jackson...where is he?

Re: Go...get our vet PG
Chris Paul has a crazy good +/- when he's on the court and the Spurs have been way better with him on than off. A high IQ vet PG that knows how to pace the game, take care of the ball, and set up his teammates is super valuable in this league every team with young guards should have one.

At the time, you were acquiring two Denver second round picks and the right to waive Jackson at $5 million so he could sign with Philadelphia. I don’t think Langdon saw the value in doing that, so he chose to preserve that cap space

Re: Go...get our vet PG
As much as I think a vet PG would help, there is a strong argument that putting the ball in either Cade or Ivey's hands the entire game will be beneficial to their development as players. This isn't like not going out and getting shooters so there is zero spacing that can actually be detrimental to the development of a player... I think its likely that our management knows our ceiling this year is a play-in team and that next year Ivey and Cade will be better players overall if they have the ball in their hands making decisions this year even if it costs us a few wins versus going out and getting a vet PG.
At some point they decided it wasn't worth the downside of overspending on a vet PG compared to the possible upside of better developing our young guards and seeing what they are capable of first hand. That doesn't mean we won't scoop up a vet PG if one comes available for the right price I do think its a pretty obvious need.

Re: Go...get our vet PG
Ya I'd luv to just get another shooter for Cade and Ivey to pass to. The 3pt shot is such a huge difference maker. Not having THJR and even Fontecchio right now has hurt us. Not sure how many minutes are available to another guy when those 2 and Ausar come back but I'd luv to try for Duncan Robinson.
