I don't get the naysayers on Giannis today. Isn't this what we want from him? More effort on defense, smarter playmaking on offense, getting others involved and lower effort offense that's more sustainable long term. He was great. Was he 3/7 on midrange? 4/7 every game and he's a Khris/KD level midrange shooter...

What better shot were we getting there? 4 seconds left, no one else on the team can create a shot for themselves except Bobby. I'm good with our 2 time MVP isolated at the free throw line. They had 3 guys camped in the paint. Maybe put AJ Green in the game and run a screen for him at the wing.

Guessing it has to do with missing free throws. Having only 22 points when the other stars are out, and the frustration of losing by 1.

I wish they would use Brook better.

Brook played 30 mins. and had 5 pts. and 3 rebs. I would say they used him too much.

If you remove the 2 guys shooting 80% from three (none of them were getting the open shots down the stretch), we shot 26.9% from three

Good thing it's a team sport and those two players' shots count.

Unfortunately if you run offense for the people shooting 27% from three, you have removed the 2 guys shooting 80% from the equation.

Also, Giannis turns 30 pretty soon and has a lot of basketball behind him. I think it's ok for him not to be in full attack the rim mode all the time. I'd like to see him get to the jump hook a little more often but the guys mostly doing it himself out there.

The team is bad.

But when you are Giannis and you have the ball in your hands down by 1 with 6 second left and the game on the line. Why are you settling for that?

Charles Lee knows how to defend Giannis. Barreling into the paint wasn't an option this game. That's why he had so many assists.

We're 50 games in and 6 under .500 with Doc and largely the same roster. It's not really a knee jerk reaction anymore. It's a pattern of poor play.

I’m disappointed we lost, obviously the late foul call sucks. But we shouldn’t even be there.

That said, still confident we will make playoffs with Dame back. And still worried as hell about Khris. Going from playing in the preseason to 15 games and no answer or 5v5 is not a good look.

Agree. Bucks got great shots all night. Annoying we have so many shooters that aren't up to speed yet, but they're progressing.

Lost in the loss was a terrific game from Taurean Prince. He scored repeatedly off the dribble, which has never been part of his game

Doc is the reason we lost this game. His rotations in the 4th were especially bad. We were getting carved up inside because Bobby was the only big on the floor starting the last so we had zero interior defence, so he waits until about 8.5 mins to go and brings Brook in, meanwhile, Giannis just sitting on the bench as the game tightens up. Inexplicably, Giannis is not brought onto the floor in the fourth until just 6 mins to go.

Giannis waited at the scorers table for 2 minutes. Sometimes you just get unlucky. Maybe you use a timeout, but we've needed all them.

I just can't let Doc off as easy as you can. Brook came back in with 8:25 left and scores were level. This is when Giannis should have been coming back in. Instead he comes in with 5:48 left in the game. He'd only played about 27-28 minutes of game time at this point. There's no reason to hold him out for so long. It defies belief that he sits for so long in the 4th with the scores as close as they were.

LaMelo plays 11:53 in the 4th. Giannis plays 5:48. In a one-point game that is the difference right there. Their best player plays 6 extra minutes in the 4th when it counts.

Not likely Giannis is ever going to block out consistently but team as a whole needs to give better effort on the boards. Giving up so many off rebounds is infuriating.
