Final play was designed for JB but refs swallowed the whistle on the push. Can't fight destiny. That JT long buzzer beating bomb was meant to fall.

32nd 25/5/5 game for JB. JT with another near triple-double. Dick Lipe has to check but 16 assists between the Jays must be a high for those two.

61 three attempts. I still have no issue with it. If we can even defend the paint and not give up 80 paint points, this is a blowout. 36-pt advantage via three-ball.

This should have been a walk in the park. Too many easy baskets for TOR. Poeltl playing like Chamberlain. We need to play better defense and close our paint better
At times it seemed like TOR are getting easy baskets and we need to carve in stone each one

I've seen a pattern with the Celtic defense.

That's why I really don't want to face Denver in the finals.

All the switching the Celtics do is it allows the Celtic guards to end up on the opposing Center of the other team.

And on the rebounding action, the Celtic players are not really tight on their man because of the switching.

The solution is to go double big.

But the double big also has its weakness.

Having said that, the Cs won a championship with their system, so I think we just have to take the good with the bad.

Cs had too easy of a path to the Finals last season, reg season and postseason. This season, they can't say we're not battle-tested once we reach the playoffs.

That block by Queta was just as clutch/important as JT's buzzer beater

Every time the opposing team makes a decent amount of 3s, the Celtic defense will look bad.

In the Finals, if the role players of the Mavs made their 3s on a regular basis, there might have been a Game 7 or the Cs might have lost.

The Celtic defense has flaws.

All the switching allows for open 3s and bigs getting easy baskets in the paint.

Other teams learn our defense from last year and react
You are right about the switching leading to small on big, but today and against ATL our bigs did really bad against the other bigs. Simple P&R leads to an easy basket by the big
We need to do better

BTW...

Last season, after 14 games: 11-3, net rating of 11.9
This season, after 14 games: 11-3, net rating of 12.5

Doing it without Porzingis. Winning the title really raised expectations this season.

Another thing, Joe doesn’t have that flair of last season, he still has the quips but it’s more dry like season 1. Maybe I’m used to him but he’s boring again, like this early season has been tough on him.

Didn't shoot the ball well, but he made several key hustle plays.

True.

That's why the Celtics will never be at their full potential without KP.

KP is simply part of the equation.

To me, KP's biggest impact on the team is on the defensive side.

The Mavs were really shocked by KP's performance in Game 1 of the Finals.

KP was blocking and altering shots in that game.

Imagine if it was Luke in there and not Queta.

That's why I think Queta needs to really play more this season so that in case if KP is out again, Queta is ready to step in.

Expectations are just too high.

Fans are expecting the Cs to beat every bad team by 20 or more.

I’m not very concerned about the offense. The defense has been terrible though. They need to fix that. You can’t just turn that on all of a sudden when the playoffs start. Having Porzingis will help but his health is always a wild card.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because it's only November.

Did it really have to come down to a last minute faith heave against the worst team in the league? This was not an impressive win.

Not impressive, but a win is a win.

Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals was not impressive also.

But Cavs fans were not complaining after Kyrie made that game winning 3 for the Cavs' first NBA championship.

Winning ugly games is a mark of a champion.
