Andrej needs to find his 3PT shot but he has taken steps elsewhere - 6.3 FTa per is a huge number for a guy touted as primarily a shooter.

I will probably cycle in\out players at the fringe, but main goal is to get Top 15-20 or so players covered. If there is a player missing, let me know. May add Kam Jones\Marquette next week

I will try and do INTL every couple of weeks. Main guys to focus on are: Traore, Essengue, Saraf, Gonzalez, but there are a few others to keep an eye on: Zikarsky, Almansa, Ruzic, Pate

Demin looks like a demon. 6'9 playmaking shooter, athletic as hell, long, 74% ts in a small sample size but damn. Looks like he plays with a high motor and has that intensity we've been lacking. We need to start tanking again.

Yeah, Demin has been impressive. Tre Johnso\Texas has put up some eye-opening stats.

Jakucionis\ILL stats have not been that spectacular, but Vecenie had some positive thoughts on his play this year (@ 17min)

Lots of positivity on Demin, interesting comments on other prospects as well.

Tre has looked incredible, but I think he is due for a return to earth as his 3PT% is at nearly 60%. I cant decide if he is Ray Allen or 'just' another Jordan Hawkins (Who himself is a quality player - just obviously not Ray Allen).

But end of the day Sharpe is our SG.

Demin is quickly becoming my #2 but I need to see him play some decent competition. Then again, Ace and Harper have only played cupcakes as well.

I am all about picking the best player regardless of position. If that is Tre Johnson and you have Shaedon Sharpe, you do it and don't think twice about it.

Same for 2025. If Dylan Harper or Nolan Traore are on the board when POR picks and they have them high on their board, then you take them, no question. Let Scoot prove he deserves to be #1.

ALWAYS take BPA, POR more than any other team should know that.

Ya I get that - I just see both Tre and SS as basically position locked into SG.

I am totally open to taking a PG though. Scoot isnt showing enough improvement IMO so far.

Yep on PG with the given that you take BPA, however if there isn't an obvious BPA at your pick then think you gotta strongly consider a PG given what we are seeing from Scoot "so far" this year, now if we really see improvement by seasons end that changes but while I am "hoping" for that I really don't expect it.

100%.

I want us to keep putting Camara on the opposing PG alot. If he can hold up there it opens the potential for a unique as hell lineup w/ Demin (Camara / Sharpe / Demin / Deni / Donovan).

Any opinion on UConn Freshman Liam McNeeley?

Might make Donovan happy taking a UConn guy

I think this team could benefit from more UCONN or Gonzaga players

McNeeley is nice, but I see little that seperates him from guys like Milan Momcilovic and Andrej Stojakovic.

IE - these are big shooters that I would love to snag w/ a 2nd FRP - but using our own FRP on someone like this would be a bit of a letdown.

Also re Liam - the FT% is a bit concerning for a guy touted as a top-10 shooting based prospect. 68% is either low or an indication his 40% 3 isnt going to stick around.

This is a draft with a ton of SG's however and I still wonder if Portland ends up extending Sharpe
this summer, if they would really take another SG with their lottery pick, even if he's the BPA.

If they're long, athletic and can defend, draft the player, figure out position later. Positions are more and more pointless with this era.

I wouldn't worry to much about the FT% with only 5 games. He has a 3-6 and a 2-4 weighing down his percentages on sample size at the moment--he also has a 5-6, 2-2, and 1-1. Overall he's 13-19. I would expect that to continually rise as the season moves along.

Not a very big fan of McNeeley currently, but that could change.

If the Blazers are looking for a shooter from UConn, then Karaban is more my style as a bench PF in the late teens/early twenties.

My late R1 crush Ivisic continues to play well.

23mpg / 12ppg / 4.3rpg / 2.7bpg / 1.1spg / 2.3 of 4.4 3PT (55% - this will come down obv)

He may be a luxury pick as its unlikely he could start at PF next to DC but regardless I love the ying-yang of a C rotation with DC and the floor stretching Ivisic.
