Paul George taking a Jimmy Butler match up personally and completely locked him up: 8-12 FG, 13-13 FT.

I think we were playing some kind of zone for the majority of the game. Just dumb when facing a team that shoots the 3 as well as they do.

Paul George was a disastrous signing. This team didn't need a "3rd star", it needed shooters and a scheme that wasn't Embiid-centric. The McCain draft indicates that Morey's greatest skill might be identifying college players who can play, which begs the question of why we keep trading picks for washed veterans?

Amy Fadool just said Joel was on a minutes restriction.... he played 31 minutes. Why did he play garbage minutes???

Marc Jackson and Lynam BOTH just made the above point!

At least we can watch our ship sink along side the Buck's ship. In the end, our two teams made Doc an obnoxiously rich man.

All PG cost us was cap space though and it was use it or lose it from what I understand. It was worth the gamble.

Embiid not getting one FTA while Jimmy gets 13 is interesting to say the least. Sixers were riding a high of momentum and then the refs took over

Bucks also have a championship in this decade to fall back on.

True. And a star that doesn’t look to be on the brink of being cooked.

When are people going to realize that this starts with Morey? It actually starts with Harris, but he's not going anywhere any time soon.

broken record time again

IDK what I would have done exactly but this wasn't it. Like even if you got PG, bringing back Oubre AND signing Martin was a misuse of that, Lowry and Gordon were bad signings too. Drummond being a miss was a surprise tbf..but regardless the team needed to get more athletic, younger, and more guys who love chucking (and hopefully making) 3s as that is the only shots they will get at full power. Why? BECAUSE THATS EXACTLY WHY WE LOST THE KNICKS SERIES. They were more athletic than us thus they got to every board. We had too many guys they were okay with letting shoot or even try to create...thus it was easy to either trap Maxey or double Biid to kill any offense.....and the big plan was to replace Tobias with PG (even washed still an upgrade), but then add TWO OUBRES and bring back Lowry. I don;t get the thought process and never did.

wait no thats a lie...the thought process was the exact same....don't worry Biid will fix it all so who cares. Just like it was don't worry Harden will fix it. And don't worry Yao/Tmac will fix it. With no idea of what happens if they can't even if just for a little bit. Biid does not get off scott free either...should have lost weight eons ago and should have learned to adjust his game as well. He looks like he doesn't trust his knee and thus isn't even trying to drive and settling even more for jumpers...which are all short because of the knee. I thought his process tonight was fine, making the right pass and all that jazz, not getting sped up as much but nah big fella the team needs more than that.

But yeah I could go on a I TOLD YA SO about this offseason being not great but ehhh i wish I was wrong like normal lol. I am joking about the stealth tank (FO and coaching staff wont do it and Silver will make sure we pick at 7 and lose the pick no matter what lol) but yeah that feels better than getting into the play in again and getting wrecked by Boston lol.

but alas wait until maxey doe

3FG
PG: 1/7
Caleb: 2/6
Joel: 1/3
Lowry: 0/3
Gordon: 1/4
Oubre: 1/4
Dowtin: 0/2

6/29 = 21%
Most of these shots were WIDE open.

McCain: 4/9

I don't care if he gets roasted a few times on defense, he's not the reason this is a dumpster fire.

I think this explains our team right now. A few things go wrong and guys sense it and start to feel it and tightness sets in and shots keep missing.

I'd say it's Nick Nurse and be more angry with him, but this team has been terminally soft since basically Jimmy Butler left. I don't know if Spoestra could fix this culture.

Neubeck, Bodner and Givens are on fire right now torching this team. Sadly, they too picked up on Joel flapping his arms over McCain and think it was definitely Joel crying about the rookie's mistake.

We are bad. I don't quite understand why, but it's clear that we are. I see some bad things, but nothing so great as to explain our total badness. I guess they all add up.

* Embiid being absent and now not-yet-Embiid. We hope. He's always started slow. Hoping he returns to MVP form at some point soon.

* PG being less than all-star PG. Tbh, what he's giving us should be enough. It's still better than Tobias. But right now he isn't the all-star we paid him to be.

* Maxey's hurt. Obviously. That's our big 3 all not being BIG.

* Lowry and Gordon being... old.

McCain's surprise play is big enough to more than make up for any one of the above (except maybe the Embiid thing). He doesn't make up for all 4.

Ugh.

I'm watching it too. Cooking Kyle Lowry now. If he's starting over McCain when Maxey returns, I'll die.
