Presti should ask Pelicans what they want for Herb Jones. We have assets.

Can you imagine five with Shai, Dort, Herb, J-Dub and Chet/Hartenstein? And from bench Cason and Caruso....

We need a 3 point gunner more than we need another defensive guy.

So probably so Trey Murphy instead if we are looking at New Orleans. Doubt he’s available though, neither is Herb Jones .

If I'm New Orleans, Murphy and Jones are two of the few people on that roster that I wouldn't trade.

Murphy signed big contract, that salary is too much for us.

Herb is 26 and Pels will probably go to rebuilding. I agree that they wouldn't trade him, but OKC is the only team that can give a very rich offer.

There is still a room to improve starting five.

Hey all--Trailblazers fan coming in peace...

A cursory glance shows me that you guys are at 15 contracts with the additional 2 2-ways. Are you expecting Presti to keep all 3 picks in the 2025 draft?

Trying to figure out if there is something workable with RWIII to you guys as a low minute, great backup--I'm of course assuming you aren't interested in Simons, Grant or Ayton for various reasons...namely, they aren't needed--especially on their respective sizable contracts.

EDIT: Apologies if this has been discussed before. I only looked briefly through this thread and didn't notice RWIII's name come up.

I think he’s a luxury piece that might be worth more to some other team.

He’s probably worth 1-2 seconds to someone that can better match salary with the blazer. Just not someone you can count on in terms of availability.

why they signed nikola topic to a contract for 24-25 if he's out of the season?

Good game .

I still think we could do something with Dieng slot on the roster but squad will look good. IHart been a very good addition to the team .

Once they sign him, they have more influence over his recovery and training. If they were to stash him for a year, he would have to rehab on his own.

Re: picks
We have to wait to see where they end up. The PHI and MIA picks are both protected. If those two end up falling in the protected range (currently very possible) then we'll only end up with one pick. I expect us to make at least one pick in every draft.

Re: RWIII
I like the idea of him, but I don't think I would be willing to take on the additional year of salary for a mid-season trial run.

if Steph Curry asks out, would you guys be interested trading for him? What kind of package are you willing to offer?

No. Not a single thing. It is not possible under the CBA for OKC to make a legal offer that would make sense.

Ding ding ding! cpower, brush up on the CBA... it's also pretty disrespectful to trade Curry imo

He's accomplished everything in a career any player could dream of, he's your modern franchise icon and a staple of GSW scene, I wouldn't trade him personally. I guess, if he asks out, maybe consider a short-list of teams... Are there indications from the Warriors side that he wants out ? I live in North Bay and my friends don't indicate that to me at all (I'm a transient to Bay Area not a local btw, so I'm not as clued into the inner fandom of Warriors).

Buy him out. Save yourself some money. We'd be happy to see if he is interested then.

I have a great appreciation for Curry, but he is almost 37. If you are hoping to net some huge return for him, it isn't going to happen. The only teams that would be willing to offer a lot in return would be teams that are trying to unload bad money and that don't have much in the way of assets to send back your way regardless. The only market is going to be desperate teams that are desperate because of their own incompetence.

Now, with A.Mitchell out nearly for regular season, we need a backup playmaker like Cam. Payne who can also shoot the three ball.

Agreed on the need but I’m scratching my head for potential targets. Between fit, contract and the other team feasibly trading them I can’t think of many trades worth making. TJ Mcconell could have been a potential 1 year rental target but I dont see Indy trading him now that their record is improving.
