FYI for inquiring minds:

GSW have the same roster. No moves were made in case anyone wants to make a proposal for any of my guys. Talks happened, but a player or two broke it down. I'm open to anything, but Giannis is almost untouchable. Historic season incoming for him in our sim.

It's one thing to have a bunch of scorers, but another thing to have efficient ones. No matter who takes the back seat, The Brooklyn Nets are dangerous as long as they can stay healthy. The scariest part about BaF is picking up one of those 354 day injuries. I pray against that every season. All the best to Richard. The only thing I see getting in the way could be inactivity when it counts most, but he seems to always be around...just doesn't post in the discussion thread like many others.

I couldn’t even list everybody especially in the East, and I’m sure I overlooked a few so forgive me and feel free to adjust…..but ummm what y’all think? Potential 2k bubble All-Star Game while we wait for the season to start?

Eastern Conference

Embiid / AD / Sabonis
Durant / Wemby | Chet
Tatum / LeBron | Kawhi
Ant Man | Jaylen Brown | Maxey
Luka | Kyrie / Morant

Western Conference

Nikola Jokic | KAT | JJJ
Giannis Antetokounmpo | Lauri | Mobley
Paolo Banchero | PG13 | J Will
Devin Booker | Curry | Donovan Mitchell
SGA | LaMelo | De’Aaron Fox

Maybe the two GMs who went to the finals last season (MPH & MELO) can represent our respective conferences by finalizing these all-star rosters & rotations to submit to Bish for one final 2k game if he has time?

Who’s down for this?

Im down

Appreciate you and 2010 acknowledging the idea bro. I’m still like a kid in a candy store when it comes to BaF so always thinking of ways to build excitement. 2k has flaws we all don’t like. I get that, but it would be fun to watch with all the East coast - west coast talk lately.

Whatever is needed from me I am down if you need me to fill out a potential rotation for me for the West Coast.

If I can turn Steph into quality depth, I'll consider it. Ideally I'd want a more efficient starting PG back, a defensive backup Center, and another quality piece or two. Working with a player making $520 isn't easy, but when that player is Giannis, you make it work. Plus to be honest, when the league improves, you gotta make adjustments. No panic moves, but you really gotta stay sharp around here or get left behind. That's if winning a championship is the goal anyway.

I think Detroit is still the fav to win it all at this very moment, but it has become very close. And that's just my opinion.

Good looking out Champ. Those of us left who still get ecstatic about this game gotta protect it at all costs. 2k is just icing on the cake, but being a part of our SIM for 8 seasons now I still feel it's the best game ever.

Yeah the single elim tourney is a fun a little break during the offseason to watch your team but this is where GM's really make there names when it counts in the SIM. Going into season 8 is wild!

This might be the most competitive year to date. So many talented teams. When I was filling out my Power Rankings I felt bad putting some teams around 20 because I liked there squad but with so many good teams someone had to be there.

I got a lot to say this morning apparently. Gafford to SAS is a sleeper move. Watch out for him in sim. Been saying this about him since the off-season. If SIM had a "type" it falls in love with every season, Gafford's numbers are a clear match. I think Mph identified that. Oh and watch out for his DFL and FGI ratings especially cause if those are high? We might see Moses Brown all over again or close to it.

Yea I did mine last week and what I noticed was all the work GMs put into improving. A lot of parity after the top 7 or so teams. Curious to see how these rosters look in February.

funny thing that deal came together over one back and forth PM. And the money just happened to work as well. Sometimes it just works out like that as you know. Some deals you work for months sometimes and nothing happens. Other deals just come together within minutes.

I was actually after Nesmith and or Nembhard combo for a minute but never was able to get any real traction with Brooklyn. Once there was "rumors" about the KD/Butler move I saw a pathway since Fat and have already talked players before and I knew what he liked and he knew what I liked.

We will see what losing Claxton interior defense will do (I feel like acquiring Claxton last year was when my team took off). But yes Gafford playing alongside Jokic might be really able to bring out Gaffords finishing ability around the basket. Just got to keep him on the floor because he tends to be foul prone. But I figured I had enough depth with Kessler and Beef Stew to manage his minutes. Also doesn't hurt to get the extra year of control with Gafford as well.

Yessir. Traction with Richard is tough unless he's pursuing the deal. It has to be a no-brainer for him to consider it. Nothing wrong with that either, but sometimes taking the back door (not in a bad way) is the way to get things done, and the back door opened up for you right on time as you were just walking about your jolly day lol. The price for Nes and Nem were high. I know because I checked in as well.

That high FG% coupled with the DFL rating is a deadly combo in sim. It's no secret. We saw it with Brandon Clarke who imo was the x factor in one of your chips and countless others. It's what makes Gobert so valuable and why he often plays like a 5 star in sim. I'm hoping for some of that to fall my way with IHart. Good trade man.

Them KOC Pacers had a bunch of efficient scorers too. But one thing I’ve learned about BaF, the games must be played cuz they are not won on the page 1 & 2 team pages.

Last season Hoffa had the 3 Ants + a good bench and good defenders and everyone had his ticket punched to the finals. He got whooped-on and booted in the 1st round.

I’m looking forward to playing Brooklyn! Especially since they’re a divisional foe.

Yes KOC's Pacers were a dynasty on paper, but the SIM has a taste and it's gotta be learned. Fit does matter too. I do think there comes a time though when a team can just be overwhelming and just has too many weapons not to be in contention. Once playoffs are here anything can happen. Watch for Plumlee's rating too. He's a sim favorite along with IQ off the bench.

What BK has now was done by Smash for many years and it gained him a top 3 position in all time wins. No chip, but the resume is still better than most. If there's one thing Smash's teams had it was chance after chance after chance. Just happened to fall short in the end. You gotta be active though. You gotta be on top of rotations. You gotta know who you're playing against night after night and adjust as needed. You gotta learn the coaching strategies on offense and defense and what they do. So many other details, as you know. No GM who doesn't take the time to study the game will ever be successful at the highest level imo.

Hoffa's teams lately have the names, but I couldn't tell you what he does for strategy.

But in all seriousness need to get more creative scoring the ball without having the Jokic/Curry combo. Hoping to replace him in the aggregate.
