From day one he was my favorite player in that draft. The type of player who would fit in any system.

What a shot by Tatum

If Bucks would go for a blow-up, let's go after Portis. He would be perfect at the 4 for us

He's essentially Marcus Morris at this point.

Mobility is gone, scoring efficiency has taken a big hit, on that post-apex downswing curve of his career.

Bucks fans want his and Connaughton's heads on the stake. Milwaukee acquired him when he was 25 and won a championship with him through his peak years. We're always behind the curve chasing after washed up reclamation projects.

Morey needs to find his own Dyson Daniels. Go get Toumani Camara (impossible).

The guy is 29, come on. He's just as all the Bucks incredibly bad, but that's a team situation thing (like with the Sixers)

He's not Kyle Lowry levels of washed, but I personally have waning interest in adding to our collection of 30 year olds unless we're getting him for essentially free.

Low upside and low imagination move - more-so from Morey than you and your suggestion.

We do need more size and he can theoretically space the floor so I see where you're coming from.

IIRC, Portis has a trade kicker that'll make it harder for us to match salary. Maybe he'd waive it if they're blowing it up.

Brandon Boston is starting to come into his own in NO. Figured he'd be at least a serviceable NBA player since COVID killed his progress at Kentucky. He was a string bean and needed strength most of all, but also needed to play a role other than "scorer".

With him starting to blossom, does this mean Herb Jones and Trey Murphy (both having disastrous starts to their season between injuries and being inefficient) are available? Would it be worth it since they are probably still valued as their 2023 versions?

I can't believe how wrong I was about Reed Sheppard. I thought he'd be doing what McCain is doing now.

Trey signed an extension. Don't think he can even be traded right now.

If I drafted and developed a homegrown 20+ppg scorer, I'm giving him a rookie scale max extension. Even if Cam Thomas isn't a guy that leads them to any real success, he'll at least sell a ton of jerseys and tickets over his tenure. Just like Bradley Beal did for the Wizards.

Dalton Knecht looking good lately has me feeling like less of a dumbass for my draft day anger.

Never once felt that way, even at any point since. No knock on McCain whatsoever, he's been a revelation, but after watching this kind of thing night to night last year at UT I miss like hell seeing this kind of show. He's got James dancing on the sideline.

Sure. They are apples and oranges as players, but please stop.

I thought he had the most impressive tape of anyone in this draft offensively without factoring in age.
