At his offensive output that's more than okay. Quit being unreasonable ffs.

We’re barely above .500 and we haven’t beat any contenders and you’re acting like we’re Boston![]()

It's too much when you go through the years and look at all-defense teams and generally speaking the elite wings his size play around 29-33mpg. The last couple years there's been a downward trend in minutes per game for defensive players.
With his injury history he should not be at a career high in MPG, he should be scaled down to 30mpg like Herb, Jrue, Jaden etc. Last night that collision with him and Hart could have ended our season, he had no business coming back into the game, that kind of thing shouldn't happen.
OG is a 2-way player. From his own lips and his numbers are backing that up. No a great comparisons.
So if we're going to discuss scaling down and comparing him to players like Jrue, 7 years ago Jrue was averaging 36 MPG when he was OG's age. All those other players are not All-Star level talents. They can get away with 26-30 MPG. OG can't. This is where we get into this weird minute police business. A career high in MPG at 36.4 is laughable when that career high is 36.0. When Mitch, Precious, and Deuce are back, he's probably going to lose a minute or two, anyway. I promise you, if Knicks somehow lost yesterday's game while leaving in the rookies to stink up the joint, you'll be asking, "Where's OG?"
He's fine at 36 MPG.
I disagree with this completely. People also want to see the rookies play. If we lost yesterday there would be bigger problems than OG not playing 40mpg.We also have more players than just rookies to fill those minutes.
Damn it! I swore I wouldn't join this conversation this year!DAMN YOU GULLY!! Must...resist!!

Ah yes, the weird minutes police, just like last season when we said OG shouldn't be playing as much as he was after the trade, Tom kept the minutes in check for a few games then upped him to 37mpg over a stretch with several 40+mpg games and he hurts his elbow. Then the weird minutes police looked at how much he was playing the playoffs and said that wasn't sustainable and surprise surprise he hurt his hamstring. At 25 Kawhi was playing 33mpg, a guy who is injury prone should be protected, I don't understand why you're so pressed on chancing it. It would be one thing if he were some ironman, but he's injury prone and overuse injuries have happened to him in the past.
I'd rather lose a game and have everyone healthy for the playoffs, I'm not going to ask where's OG if he plays 33mpg and we lose a close one, I don't care as much about the regular season as I do about making it intact to the playoffs.

Heh, I should've said, "Where's the starters?" But you get my drift.
As of today, this bench is pretty trash without Deuce, Precious, or Mitch. So these 3 rookies are kind of "it", so to speak.

To put OG's elbow injury into perspective, bone spurs are not something that develops over a short period of time. Bone spurs quite literally take months to form. The real question is -- and I'm not doctor on this -- did anyone know they were forming? I never looked at OG's minutes before that elbow and linked it to playing time. That injury doesn't happen by playing 1 extra minute per game. I'm not even going to get into the flukiness of hamstring injuries. We lost Precious to hammy with him just averaging about 24 MPG (give or take).
I said it in the past, I don't view 36 MPG as overuse and those minutes will probably dip by a small margin soon.
And didn't OG request the Knicks bring in a specialist to reduce lingering injuries? I swear I thought I read something like that a few months ago.
