As much as I don't like Embiid, or that being late consistently is a problem, the 76ers letting this get out represents an even bigger problem.

Embiid has been publicly throwing his teammates and coaches under the bus for years. I'm sure everyone in that organization is fed up with his antics.

Yep. It should've been kept internal. Someone leaked this on purpose.

And as it apparently was leaked by multiple sources, I'm guessing at least part of this "purpose" was that "certain people" want Embiid held accountable. More disturbingly, they decided as a group that leaking this information was their only option to get things done.

Doesn't say much about the control Nurse has in that locker room.

It’s well deserved but it’s interesting to see everyone turn on a player at the same exact time. Hes got the press, players, and fans all attacking him. Think him being so dirty in the series against the Knicks really changed the general public’s perception of him.

Is this a morey issue or has ownership been coddling him this entire career? That’s what was so shocking about his no back to back comments this summer cuz how could it have taken so long for everyone to get on the same page about trying to win a title? Just shows the organization has no control over him and was letting him do whatever he wants. Clearly they haven’t been trying to protect him either. That’s how something like this leaks or they put him in a position that he could assault a reporter. If they don’t turn this around and make a conference finals at least morey is losing his job.

His "cause" has always been chasing individual accomplishments anyway.

The reason he was hurt last year was statpadding, pure and simple. Three separate times he went back into blowouts late to chase his 30 point streak, got hurt, and missed the next game. The third time was the big injury.

Patrick Beverley snitched on him. Told the whole world that Embiid refused to rest when advised to and said he had to play against "trash teams" to get to 65 games and win another MVP.

fans and players haven't liked embiid for years. unsightly game, flops every play, overly reliant on free throws, dirty player. cries and whines for individual accolades.

turns his back on his home country and another country he specifically said he would play for internationally so he could play for team USA WHILE INJURED just because he thought it would get him a free accolade. and then he has the nerve to say it's for his son as if everyone doesn't know it's all about him.

I'm around, clearly unacceptable from Embiid. I do think the Sixers are a total **** though, and they let him do this for years, so part of it is on them. But yeah not a good look, this year has been trash for the Sixers. I'm all aboard on the McCain and Maxey train, with Cooper Flagg dreams. If Embiid will man up and actually playing like we know he can, great, if not, give me one of the top 6 from the draft.
