We’re not looking at comparing ourselves or trading with other teams. We’re determined to improve internally.

I'm a little frightened about how this team will look once Zach gets traded out.
Would any team have a worse #1 option than Coby White? Even Jordan Poole is 22 ppg on 46%FG and 45%3P.
I guess Portland.

I'm sure it would look like the last 2 games Zach played (@Cavs: 8pts, 4/15fgs and vs. Rockets: 15pts, 4/9fgs) both blow-out loses.
At the very least it'll force someone to step up... maybe.
Here to argue about nonsensical things and suck away your joy.

While that doesn't include whoever we get in return, but the point would be to either get a good young asset or pick(s). Losing a lot of games this season at least helps us retain our pick.

Yeah. I'm getting hopeful POR dumps Ayton for a couple useful pieces and starts to do well.
And if we're bad without Zach, good! That's a good way to find a way to replace him.

Not too big on him right now, but Embiid's value has to be the lowest its been for a superstar in years. The 76ers currently hold the worst record in the NBA, Embiid doesn't plan on playing half of the games, and he's getting called out by his co-star and as a result, 76ers are tanking by accident. If this trend continues, it could be worth it to the 76ers to off-load embiid to strengthen their chances to for Flagg.
Vuc to a third team
Giddey, Zo, a couple of our picks and whatever that third team is willing to give up for Vuc to the 76ers
Embiid to the Bulls
Again, not too high on Embiid right now, but his MVP level talent is undeniable and rarely does this type of opportunity come up to acquire a player like him.

Maybe if this year is a bust, but despite their slow start, PHI is all in this year after acquiring George.

It's a funny thing to think about, but would the Bulls even want Embiid through his age 34 season at a cost of nearly $250 million?

It's November and they had guys with injuries...they'll be fine by April if healthy.

Re: NBA Trade Thread #11
I think for an Embiid trade to make sense you already have a #1 option, and Embiid becomes a #2 who helps you get over the hump. He's too unreliable to carry a team to a high seed like Joker or Luka. I think the trade is similar in strategy to Milwaukee selling everything to get Lillard, they just want him for the playoffs and assume Giannis is enough to carry the reg season.
Rebuilding young has to be attractive with both Maxey and McCain. Not sure what they do with Paul George in that case, $53M til 2028.

I'm sure PG could be traded for value despite his salary.

Re: NBA Trade Thread #11
Morey was always one of the best analytical guys, but at some point, the appetite for risk increases. If they turn it around, they have talent to contend. If Embiid can't get back to MVP ball, then they're in position to stealth tank and add another superstar prospect. Top-6 protection; better stay bottom-3. Jared McCain looks like a steal right now. His recent numbers are wild.
I can't lie. It's the better version of what AK maybe tried to put us through the last few years? If you're gonna lose your top player(s) to injuries, and owe picks with top-6 protections, just make sure you lose really hard. Get that top-5 pick, rest Embiid/George, and come back strong. Don't deliver nice 7-12 picks to the team that hosed you in the trade and keep losing play-ins.
Not sure the Sixers are losers if they have a healthy Embiid, Maxey, McCain, George & Flag or Harper next year.

Going to nip this in the bud straight away.
Embiid cannot be traded this year as he just signed a max extension.

You jinxed it.
Sixers have the same record as last year's Pistons at this point.

C'mon, are you serious? They have elite talent who have all been injured and have only played a few minutes together. Barring addional serious injury, they will still make the playoffs.

The Bulls should be monitoring Trea Young, Giannis and Embiid. I think all three of them will get heavy trade consideration in the off-season (if not sooner). Any of those guys would pair great with Zach and hopefully, by some miracle, Flagg.
