You will not have both if you're starting a non-scoring threat C. You have to choose one or the other. Minnesota with Gobert/KAT were in the bottom half of the league offensively.
Why not? We've had multiple top 10 units with a non-threat C, including last year. Towns and Bridges replacing Randle and DiVincenzo can't bump our offense up a couple spots without us sacrificing our defense?
Minnesota also had McDaniels forget how to shoot, Ant still learning how to run an offense, and grandpa Conley on his last legs. We have Brunson in his prime & two of the league's best 3&D guys.
Zooming out to the bigger picture, could you explain how playing Mitch helps us on either end of the floor against a healthy Boston?
It doesn't. Our starting 5 is fine. It's the bench we need to strengthen. Right now we have Cam/Sims and the rookies get limited minutes. Thibs is running shorter rotations most of the time as a result. It has led to tired legs and multiple losses we should have won.
Deuce/Cam/Precious/Sims will be the bench until Mitch gets back in two months. IF he gets back in two months. We will be deep as hell with everyone healthy. The starting 5 is set in stone unless there is an injury. End of story.
