There are currently too many bodies in front of Tyson, but I think the Cavs have a decision to make on LeVert no later than next summer with Mobley’s extension kicking in and the emergence of Ty Jerome. Merrill, Jerome, and LeVert are all on expiring contracts. Merrill and Jerome will get offers above what they're making now.
One approach would to let the season play out however it plays out, but they should probably force feed Thor some minutes so they know whether they have a viable backup big, or not, ahead of the deadline.
Jerome is going to be more expensive than the Early Bird rights we have for him next off-season.
Can’t the Cavs go up 105% of the 2024 NBA average salary?

Yes. Will that be his best offer? (Usually the full MLE is around that number.) Would he take a 1+1 with a promise to make it up the next year?
Can the Cavs cut him now and sign him to this year's MLE in a 2+1, thereby establishing his full Bird Rights by 2026 free agency?
