Dunno which US pro sports team is currently more in crisis, The Sixers or Dallas Cowboys?

Have the Sixers ever sniffed the level of relevance the Cowboys have in the NFL?

Outside of Philadelphia, who cares about the Sixers struggling really?

How about the Patriots?

Anyway, I don't know how anyone is surprised we get one guy back and lose another. It's been that way that entire season. Maybe at this point the season is lost, because I mean, tonight was the first night all three have been on one court, and Embiid was dinged, and George hyper-extended his knee like early in the 3rd.

Watching Embiid, he doesn't look right or healthy either, whether he plays hurt or doesn't play. The Sixers can't win without him being 80 to 90 percent of what he was during his MVP run, and he isn't even cose to that. Maxey is working back from injury too and looked rusty. I still think talent-wise they can compete with the top teams, but it doesn't matter if you can't get that talent on the court healthy.

Nothing that can be discussed in 30 seconds was off the table.

Internet sleuths are convinced Nick Nurse was "The Leaker".

Nurse also happens to be a client of Klutch... like Shams and Maxey. Basically, it's between Maxey & Nurse:

ESPN's Shams Charania reported Tuesday that after a 2-11 start to the 2024-25 season, Philadelphia held a team meeting in which guard Tyrese Maxey challenged Embiid. Charania's source in the story had details about the team meeting, yet was unnamed, prompting fans on social media to speculate on who the source was — and leading some fans to believe that head coach Nick Nurse leaked the information.

Could it have been Nurse who fueled the ESPN report on Philadelphia's team meeting? Here are the details on why some fans jumped to that conclusion.

What would he gain from that. If anything that makes him look bad, since it gives the impression that the team he is coaching is internally disfunctional.

Man, that's so obvious: It puts ALL the blame on Embiid for undermining the team culture, habits, etc.... which coaches are responsible for nurturing & building.

Making a big deal about the "late for meetings" stuff sounds so much like a coaching staff whining, rather than a player, if you really think about it.

The thing is, if you are in a leadership position, it will always fall back on you. You aren't able to get your star under control, the team doesn't respect you. And I don't mean the media or fans, I mean upper management and owners. They will not talk with Embiid or Maxey about it, he will have to explain that situation.

But it was Maxey who brought that up, not Nurse. Unless ur telling me Nurse coerced Maxey into saying that.

I dont think it does, really. So you think those players who are profesional, come on time and wait there for Biid cause they wont start without him are happy about it? Hmm... Must be really exciting to wait there till The Big Diva shows up.

Yeah, see it similar. Especially if it's a player that was on the receiving end of some comments like when Embiid talked about Tatum having way better team mates than him, or is used to more professionalism. Nevertheless it's of course super bad behaviour. As mentioned can really not see a coach doing that, because the career of that coach would be over immediatelly in case it ever gets out.

It was a 1-hour meeting which (according to Nurse in the post-game) covered a bunch of things, which would invariably include playing together, schemes, tactics, etc... all part of the coaching staff's resposibilities. Yet, the only thing that got leaked was about Embiid showing up late? That's the main takeaway from a 1-hr meeting? That sounds like the coaching staff trying to deflect on the blame onto Embiid... which is exactly what he's complaining about. 30 seconds out of a 1-hour meeting is now the entire focus of the post-meeting conversation.

That's Nurse and Klutch controlling the media narrative to protect Nurse's "top 2 coach" reputation.

Bro, all (important) topics discussed were leaked from the meeting.. including players getting on Nurse about his coaching, sub patterns, schemes, etc. The topic being highlighted the most (about Embiid always being late) is probably the most damning one to hear from a fan standpoint.. that's why its the one being discussed the most. There is no conspiracy behind it.

This stuff happens ALL the time, behind the scenes. It's right up there with "Embiid leaves the toilet seat up". It should really be a nothing burger, but it got leaked to the top newsbreaker, Shams, and he's been on multiple shows just to talk about this. The entire point of this is to put all of the blame on Embiid and deflect it from Nurse and/or Maxey (Klutch clients).
