Oh damn....

On Monday Night Countdown, ESPN insider Adam Schefter said former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was seen in Dallas ahead of the Cowboys Monday Night football game versus the Houston Texans.

McCarthy is in the final year of a five-year deal he signed with the Cowboys in January of 2020

Schefter said teams around the league expect Belichick to be one of the leading candidates for the Cowboys job should it open.

Bookmarked

Bill and Jerry are actually good friends and he has hinted at wanting to coach in Dallas several times.

If (huge if) that happens we can at very least expect the penalties to cut way back. I said this earlier too but IF (again huge if) Belichick does come to Dallas and if he decides he didn’t want Dak he’s the one guy that could make that happen. He could get Dak off this team regardless of his contract. I’m not saying it would be easy but Belichick could make that happen.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he’s friends with Bill Belichick and wouldn’t have a problem working with him one day.

The Cowboys aren’t in position to hire Belichick as head coach at the moment, but Jones told Yahoo! Sports’ Jori Epstein that he believes the pair could get along.

“I know him personally and I like him,” Jones said. “There’s no doubt in my mind we could work together. None. None.”

Yup and during the game was critiquing them pretty hard. Almost insinuating on what he would fix. He seemed really pissed at their effort in tackling.

You listen to Bill's remarks on Dallas this year he basically narrows it down to Dallas not being able to stop the run. Which is a problem I bet the thinks he can fix.

Brady Patriots had some really good defenses, which goes under the radar because so many can only see Brady.

I bet Belichick is friends with half the league at this point. And friendships dont mean much when the legacy of a 72 year old coach is on the line and he is faced with having a capped out team with a quarterback that chokes every playoffs.

That's pretty much the job description of a commentator.

Even if Belichick doesn't end up in Dallas, at least we aren't the 9ers.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned in here or not, but they have a longer ring drought than Dallas does.

You said capped out team with a QB who chokes hard, Niners were the first team to come to mind.

Just throwing this out there but another coaching candidate for the Cowboys will be Doug Pederson after he’s fired by the Jags.

I am a bit sad I was born in 1995

Cause if I were born a few months later, I could say the Jags have as many playoff wins in my lifetime as the Cowboys, and lead in conference championship appearances 3-0

Anyways, since 1996 the Cowboys have the same amount of playoff wins as the Jags, and have made it out of the divisional round 0 times to the Jags' 3.

Yes, for all non-Cowboy fans, Super Bowl history conveniently starts with the 1996 Season.
