Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
We desperately needed Bev's defense & energy last yr. This yr we have options in the youth. So I don't get the pt. Cuz he wore a Bucks' jersey? He's a yr older & has been actin' a fool from the end of the season.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
If we buyout that contract Bev still gets paid right? Maybe this was always the plan to get him a higher salary and a little foreign vacation... maybe he always was a Buck and noone could say it lol

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
It's great that we're winning again but I'm also not gonna let myself get fooled by this recent stretch of play and think the roster is all of a sudden flush with young playoff rotation guys, Brook and Bobby are playable against most elite offenses, Khris is gonna come back and fix the offense, etc. Team still needs some sort of significant shakeup trade, and I'd still be scouring the margins for any and all high IQ role guys with playoff experience and defensive communication skills. If a guy like Pat Bev or a bought out PJ Tucker can be had for dirt cheap, then that's an option worth exploring.

After Dame, we don't really have a guy to bring the ball up under some pressure and then actually run plays.. Bev can facilitate... backup PG is our weakness roster-wise.. when Dame has to miss games we really are dry there

Giannis can do it, as well as Rollins whenever he returns. So that's not a compelling argument to me.

Pat bev is a prick that has worn out his welcome on every team he's been on.
only a fan, only an opinion

There's a reason EVERY SINGLE TEAM passed on Beverly. He's certainly not someone you want around for the whole season. His 26 games here got grating. You bring him on after the ASG at the earliest. He was in Milwaukee last night, Philly earlier this week. He'll pop up elsewhere. But I don't want him anyway.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

After our B2B concludes Saturday we have 2 games over the next 7 days. Plenty of practices, plenty of time for Khris to get back on the court for practice. We'll see.

Green & Ajax got playoff experience last yr. We added Delon as a Bev facsimile w/out the headaches. Picked up Trent as a semi 2-way sg. Got Lillard as a star g. Bev would make an old backcourt again. Rollins is a wild card. We don't need Bev.

Bev, even at his age last year, made our team look much younger and faster.
The AJJs got "experience" in the playoffs last year but also were trash... those playoff yips aren't guaranteed gone.. big gamble..

Giannis shouldn't be our backup PG.. let him get used to his new role underneath and weak side (if not pnr)... Rollins hasn't proven anything.. isn't he a 2 way? AJs also haven't... if the youngens go gang busters and Bev can chill and get a ring watching then ok... at least we had insurance though.

That's the story we were led to believe..... but .... maybe he never wanted to leave Milw and this was the compromise to get him back and get him more than the minimum plus... you know the CBA rules on this? Would Bev getting bought out and resigned by us result in Bev getting more salary from them + us?

This could be some tricky maneuvering.. if Horst found a loop hole, the league will probably propose rule changes against it

If his wrist is good I'd grab him back here.. I think he has a clause that he can return to the NBA
Well..
I really dont know with Pat Bev. Maybe his time in Isreal has humbled him a little, but i feel like he may be a guy that some players dont like being around. I feel he may be a distraction. Im hesitant to want to put him back in the locker room. But i also have no idea how players feel about him.
If the players and coaches do like and welcome him, though, he would be an upgrade over Pat C i think.
Someone important definitely thought his antics weren't worth the trouble over the course of an entire regular season because on the court I thought he was actually pretty solid for us. High energy, good decisions with the ball, generally looked to defer to our stars over hunting his own shots.
The problem is if you bring him back then you kind of have to commit to playing him. I don't think he would be a happy camper on the bench/in the locker room otherwise so I'd hold off for now.

Ajax was good in the playoffs. Had the best net rating on the team. I thought Green defended well the 1st 4 games, then fell off, & struggled w/ his shot.
Not much of a gamble. Newbies feeling the heat is pretty normal, until they're accustomed to it. At a pt, they're the vets. Trent & Wright have already been there done that. That's 3-4 options & Dame. So 4-5 already, then Giannis, Khris, Brook, Bobby/trade, Prince, Pat/trade. It's 9-11 guys. You need 7-8 for a playoff rotation. Should be good. Deeper than when we won.

Yeah he was great here before the wrist.
Antics? He has a little Podcast and it was only like 2x a week talking to his buddies.. everyone talks to their buddies, he just has a camera. Throwing the ball at the fan was an emotional reaction and there's a 4 game suspension for that but that doesn't mean he wouldn't be useful here in backup PG minutes if Isreal made him miss being back here I'd open up arms and welcome him.

If he wants a ring and it's between us and Philly, I think he'd pick here.. they are a dumpster fire

I didn't say he wouldn't be useful, his play actually won me over despite not being a fan at all previously. If you don't think Pat Bev is "antics" personified I don't know what to tell you. Some are a bigger deal than others and some can be harnessed in positive ways to the team but if there's one certainty it's that there's always going to be antics with him.

I'm talking about a PG that can bring it up vs the press. We have 1... Dame.. some want to trade 2031 pick for 1 but we don't want a free Bev?
