You want Dlo?

right now i might do kcp for dlo and 10 yr out 2nd ..just to have money to spend next summer .but do not think magic will

Would love to see him on the Kings to take POA defender away from Keegan. Keegan has really struggled offensively and is #1 in NBA in miles ran. Hes gonna absolutely burn out.

Fox
Demar
Tybulle
Keegan
Sabonis

That would be a crazy lineup, plenty of offense and plenty of defense

Absolutely not! Spacing would be so bad it’s not even worth it Thybulle is unplayable in the playoffs we need two way players

Given the assets that SAC has on hand its going to be really tough to add a 2-way player that is starter worthy IMO.

Lyles + SRP for MT works and you have the depth w/ Monk / Keon / Huerter to alleviate the low scoring MT brings (Also notable that he was about 35% last year from 3 - which really isnt that bad).

I think we have enough assets to get Grant Williams, DFS, Cam Johnson, Deandre Hunter, or Kyle Kuzma guys that fit the prototype we need.

Also no way we trade Lyles unless a big is coming back he’s the only reliable big off the bench and has coke on as of late we need another big wing to help out so trading him would be counterproductive

No...but I'm crafting something where LAL gets Vucevic & KCP, CHI gets cap space & draft equity and ORL gets (ideally, Coby White, but probably...) Zach Lavine...and everyone is happy and I am granted NBA knighthood.

With me being hyped for Jordan Miller, does anyone want a shiny Terance Mann?

I notice the Magic are 9-7. Dlo + JHS for KCP straight up might be sufficient, because Dlo could actually help Orlando win now. Unless, KCP' defense is that impactful, that you don't need the offensive upgrade of Dlo? Dlo and JHS also expiring, so you have that too.

Kuzma has the physical tools to be a good defender, but that's it. I have zero interest in his goofy ass coming anywhere near my team.

We (the Kings) also don't need a starter, we need to trade someone out of our ridiculous guard stable to get Keegan a real backup who can take on some of the defensive assignments he's asked to cover long enough his offensive performance can recover when he's not being overworked so hard.

Start Keon have Kuzma come off the bench if we’re able to get him for Huerter and a first you take the risk. If he’s still a negative on defense at least he’d be a big body and our second unit could just out score teams with monk/kuzma. Not my first choice but it beats having no wings and Huerter out there taking minutes from Keon

Price was wrong

We need another rim running centre type, and Podz is probably the odd man out in our 12-man rotation.

I’m saying that, Melton going down could change that, depending on the severity of his injury and recovery.

Yeah I saw. Absolutely sucks.

First off they are not getting any team to take him into cap space and give you a second round pick. Wizards should use his salary and cap space so a team can dump a contract and give the Wizards picks back. So something like the Bulls send Jevon Carter to Milwaukee, Bucks send Pat Connaughton to Washington, and the Wizards send Davis to Chicago. With some picks going to Washington. Bulls clear a contract non expiring contract, Bucks get a better fit, Washington adds some assets for taking on Pat’s remaining contract. Similar to how they took on Marvin Bagley

Yup. After declining the 3rd year option on a lottery pick, Phoenix paid a 2nd and cash to turn Jalen Smith into an expiring, vet minimum Torrey Craig. Declining a rookie option just kills any value a guy MIGHT have. If they hit and improve in a new environment, the player is unrestricted and the receiving team would be limited in what they can pay him, while everyone else would be unrestrained.

I'm fine with keeping him until the end of the year, fine with moving him as long as it gives us better value moving forward. I understand why the team plays him as bad as they are defensively otherwise, just (always) looking to get some value, no matter how little, for players not in our future plans.

I realize you’re responding to someone else, but I’m still going to add to this. I get it wouldn’t be ideal, but I really think Washington should just try to get him as much playing time as possible. And see what happens. Similar to what Scoot said , I can’t see him getting traded without attaching assets. Even if you have to do that exclusively at the G league level, it’s time to see if he’s worth developing or let him move on. I say this as a Pistons fan who had to endure Killian Hayes.

If he’s just awful and/or just not worth it anymore, it’s sunk cost and it’s time to move on from him

Maybe Kessler to New York. Utah likes Lakers picks and Hood-Schifino.

Kessler will not net Bridges or OG.

I could see something like Mitch, Dadiet, Matt Ryan, WAS protected 1st rounder for Clarkson, Kessler.

In essence, it is Mitch for Clarkson (young 26 yo injury prone, high caliber defensive C for a older 32 yo solid, durable bench scorer) and then Walker Kessler for basically a late 1st who Danny coveted plus two high seconds (WAS pick will probably turn into two 2nds).

Additionally, Matt Ryan will be expendable when Landry Shamet is healed up and can slot right into the last bench guy.
