I wonder why the NFL doesn’t have the two conference losers play each other for third place? We never know who’s third. Maybe cause nobody cares.

I actually chalk it up to the Pussifiction of America. You celebrate losing. But at least you got your imaginary trophy and imaginary banner!

I can’t put it more simple than this. Losing at any point in the playoffs means you failed. You did not win a title if you lost in the playoffs. Doesn’t matter when you lost you still lost.

Just a few minutes later you posted that you want your team to lose: viewtopic.php?p=115696567#p115696567

Because they have zero shot at winning a title this year. Why would I cheer for them to “almost make the playoffs”? Restock the team with better draft picks. It’s not rocket science.

So you don't play to win the game? Pussy.

If you told Olympic silver medalists that you got as far as them in winning a gold medal, I think they might disagree.

Do you think Usain Bolt would be ok getting Silver and would be beating his chest about not winning Gold? How do you think Michael Phelps would feel if he got Silver or Bronze? Do you think he’s celebrating and telling everyone “it’s just as good as winning Gold!” Or “I was only 1 or 2 steps away from Gold so it’s just like winning”.

Phelps got a few silver and bronze medals. He probably think these are better than not having participated in the meets.

I dont know if you've realized this as an adult, but when your team wins a super bowl as a fan you dont actually become a real man or earn that trophy, it is all imaginary mastubation of your mind. Sports is about entertainment and the longer your team plays the more entertainment you get, unfortunately for your fanbase most other teams have been putting more entertaining product out there.

That makes no sense. lol
I’ve admitted the cowboys suck for neatly 3 decades.
It’s horrible. How is that coping?
I think you throw around that term without really understanding it.

Have you ever wondered why except for Cowboys fans nobody agrees with this "all 31 teams are equally bad" braindead argument?

Such a false premise.
We have maybe 4 posters talking about this.
I know for a fact that non cowboy fans think like this too. Not everybody celebrates their losses.

They used to till 1969. It was called the Playoff Bowl. Cowboys and Rams played in the very last one.

Some people just need therapy lol

I can't imagine being so insecure about my own masculinity that I tie it to a sports team to "prove" I'm manly. Just kinda sad tbh.

Ask Otis. He would know why they stopped doing it. He's a bit older than me and I didn't become a Cowboy fan or start watching football till 1970. I was only 10 years old at the time.

Probably because no one cares about 3rd place.
Except for a few posters here who would go gaga for finishing 3rd.

I believe it had to do more with uniting the AFL and NFL and the merger at the time.

It was that along with the merger becoming official after SB IV. NFL didn’t see any point in playing it after the ’70 season which was fine with me. 14 year old me didn’t watch it in ’69 either.

Yet, I'm still waiting to hear your solution moving forward 14 pages later. Bashing Niner and Jaguar fans is not answering the question at hand. Where do the Cowboys go from Here? Can you cope with that reality?

Do any of you think really highly of the 90s Buffalo Bills?

No, when you think if them you just think of them getting their asses kicked when they finally had to play the NFC.

Pretty sure almost all the main members of 90s Bills are in the HoF, buncha losers.

At the very least they more highly regarded than Buccaneers of the same era.

HoF is an individual accomplishment. Barry Sanders is in the HoF but we all know those teams sucked.
