I'm really proud of these guys!
A Lakers win would have been business as usual for them, while a win like this has the potential to change the whole mindset for the Magic going on.
I still think WCJ is the better overall player, but Goga has grown to me a lot during these last two games.
He got dominated by Zubac, torched by AD and played through foul trouble almost the whole game, but holy **** this guy cares about winning! At least this is what his on-court demeanor tells me.
The way he gets angry about his own mistakes, the way he yells at his teammates when they fail, the way he complains to the refs and still keeps focus, the way he jumps up after a fall instead of acting it out...
If you factor in availability I can pretty much understand why people prefer Goga over WCJ.
Was happy for TDS to earn some fourth quarter reps and the opportunity to be on the court in final seconds of a close game. Guy earned it.
Don't get the criticism about the rotations at all. Imo coaches got it right pretty quickly after Paolo went down. Then switched focus from staggering Franz and Suggs to Franz and AB and that's it.
Yeah, you can argue if it makes sense to play Cole at all, but I hardly can blame them for trying.
JIs defense on the last play was elite, timed the switch perfectly. Though sometimes the discrepancy between his defensive and offensive awareness is mind boggling.
Refs were fine, or at least better than used to when playing the Lakers at Staples.
Lakers broadcast crew was much better than the Clippers feed the day before.

Like them or not we won that game without three starters.

Always take the 3 down 2 on the road.

Same but the game against the Clips wasn't worth it... well I say that but even when we lose I'm a sucker for Magic basketball and it's still better than no Magic basketball.

Box core thoughts:
Orlando LOST the FG% battle but won the game. How?
Well it wasn't better 3PT%; the Lakers won that.
There were two reasons. i) Orlando dominate the FT% battle (and those two Lakers misses late accent that point), and ii) Orlando had more FGAs, becasue the Magic won the rebounding- differential battle by more than the Lakers won the TO-differential battle.
FGAs and FTMs led to a win. Odd path to win. But all road wins are good wins. (and this was a Great win).

This game needed the stars to align and they did
Our effort on the boards and overall energy was so drastically different than the game against the Clippers the night before (in a good way)
Suggs finally broke out his slump
Role players stepped up (TDS, Gary Harris, Moe, Goga)
Franz had the big game needed to lift our offense
I expected AD to have a big game and he didnt disappoint, Lebron was unconscious from 3. Even with all that pulling out a win in LA on the back end of a B2B is really impressive

Yesterday was a reason why I don't want to trade any of our bigs, big bodies like Paolo and wcj would have been useful on ledouche.
We need players to go against any match ups and with Paolo, wcj, goga, JI and Moe we have everything covered

Anyone know why KCP was out and when he's expected back?

Not together. They had them with their wives. Just ironic that they were both out at the same time

Someone said he is the youngest player in Magic history to have 35+ pts and 10+ ast... is that real?
He is the youngest forward since LeBron 2007.
I didn't rage, literally 5 min before that shot i was thinking that nobody made game winner for us long time ( or in that moment i couldn't remember who made last, probably Paolo last year ? ).
That "forward" thing is bit wild, he is Magic PG. He is no less of a PG for us since Paolo got hurt than Dončić is for Dallas. I guess they don't feel comfortable calling 6'10 guy PG
There is a poster on the NBA reddit and he loves numbers and analytics but is always a bit negative when it comes to the Magic (finding the bad in a win). He reminds me a lot of you pepe that he looks for the forest through the trees and he was going off on the last shot from a shot selection standpoint, so I guessed you might too.
You know I love you buddy.

Woah, I didn't say he was negative! There are people in here that are negative to a point that they are delusional.
