Bodner and Neubeck said Nurse told reporters pre-game that Joel was there and going to go thru his normal warm-up routine to see if he could go. Bodner did call that out as BS b/c Joel's brace was at his locker which was locked up and it looked unused.

That's just pathetic that the HC has to lie about your max contract with max extension player even coming to the arena on game night.

The good:

Still like the Maxey Jared pairing with Oubre and Martin even better with Yabu than with Drummond, but either could work. Feels like they have 2 guys to take on the defensive, with 2 try hard active guards that will push the pace and space. Yabu may be better, but he may also be needed to help Joel lineups.

This lineup seems pretty solid for the 3rd qtr to 4th woes. They could even use Kenyon as a replacement for Oubre.

I have said one of the benefits of tanking it is shutting Joel and having months of team monitored and assisted medical rehab. Send him to Germany, get that platelet procedure and do whatever else ya got to do. Bring him back as healthy as he can possibly be for next season.
