(You can't).

I didnt make it to that side of the state but you're very convincing cause bryce and zion are incredible.

The Mighty 5 are all great (though Capital Reef is the clear 5th), but two of the most insane places I've been in the Utah outdoors are Goblin Valley, which we detoured to see on a roadtrip after getting put on by some locals, and Factory Butte, which we literally just saw from the highway, were like "HOLY. SH*T. WHAT. THE. F*CK. IS. THAT?", and pulled over on a dusty road.

That's how incredible the natural environment of the land in Utah is. We planned to see the big boys, and the state is randomly like

Goblin Valley (you can see people in the upper right side of the image for scale - my kids played hide and seek in there for a couple of hours. I even lost one for a while)
Image

Factory Butte (you can't see it, but the ground is covered in giant silicate shards/crystals. It's insane)

Adding both these to the list when I head back there.

The last time I went was on a whim. I had a week off and I really wanted to see Bryce canyon. I had a some time left so swung into Zion to get a few hikes in. When I got back everyone was mentioning places in the east. So I'm definitely heading back sometime soon.

No, I am not kidding.

Back in the 90s, the Nets petitioned the league to change the name to the Swamp Dragons.

First of all, I don't know what a Swamp dragon is. We don't have dragons in New Jersey. Not that dragons exist, but if they did, they wouldn't live here. It's a stupid name for a team regardless.

So anyway, the league inexplicably okay'd the name change, paid a half a mil to secure the name rights, trademarks, logo, all that stuff. David Stern then put the branding change up for a vote, which i believe had to be unanimous for it to happen.

26 teams voted yes. 1 team voted no.

That team was the Nets, who suddenly changed their mind at the last second.

To say the least, David Stern was absolutely furious about it.

In 1967 the Nets started as the New Jersey Americans in the ABAs first season. In 1968 they moved from Teaneck to Long Island and were renamed the New York Nets. Just to go in line with the Jets and Mets. There was even a New York Sets franchise in World Team Tennis around that time .

Well....at least the Mets won a championship.

Jets won a Super Bowl and Nets won 2 ABA titles with Dr J

I'd like to see Precious sub for OG sometimes, to keep OG fresher, and because Precious can guard some of the same guys

The Nets didn't win a championship when they got KD and KI?

Both those places are like 1-2 hour stops, but absolutely worth hitting up.

We did the the Mighty 5 over the course of 2 summers in '18-'19, and Canyonlands remains one of the only National Parks I actively dream of going back to. I found it so incredibly underrated.
The backpacking there is BONKERS, as a lot of the famous ridiculousness is not accessible by standard automobile daytrippers. The stuff you see even if you're just in a car is still unreal, but I really want to get back there, hike down into the canyons, and get lost in that wonder for a few days.

One day.

Fixed. Main point here was to show the cat dynamic with him playing still most of the minutes at the five , yet still have some in minutes now where we can get a better or elite rim protector on the floor

One day resonates. So many 'one days'. My main goal right now is the wind river high route. I wanted that this year but timing didn't work out.

You sold me on the "back packing is bonkers" I have been loosely planning on heading back down through there. So having a plan makes it a lot easier to lock it down.

Easy to take your word after those pics from big pine lake trails. I still look at those pics from time to time. Ridiculously beautiful.
