I do think there is some validity to seeing how we do when Fickell's recruits become upper classmen. Like our Dline is total trash right now but I like the recruits they've brought in there and I'm fairly hopeful when those guys become upperclassmen they'll have a solid unit there.

Agree here.

They probably are going to have to spend up for next year, though.

I'm normally fine with students rushing the court, storming the field, whatever but lmao how embarrassing for Nebraska.

I think it's because they're finally going to a bowl game for the first time in a decade

So real talk, do we think the offense can sustain this going forward?

I mean they put up 25 points(should have been 31 if Vakos makes the kicks) against a defense ranked in the top 15 by SP+. Locke was legitimately good today

Let's see if we can beat the team coached by a guy who eats gum off the ground.

I don’t really care tbh as it’s one game and then very new personnel, but yeah, they were good today other than **** kicker.

Yea that's what I want to know, if this was a one game thing or was Longo holding back a legitimately good offense. I'd lean towards this just being a one off but if they have a 2nd good performance on Friday then I'll be intruiged

I doubt Longo was holding them back (as in new play caller today = great offense). Hard to change much of the offense and some of the moments I watched outside of shutting it off for large portions of the 2H involved some dumb calls.

Locke is a serviceable backup type with glaring weaknesses. Had a good game today against a very solid defense. I won’t expect it to be a trend, nor does it matter much.

To be clear I don't expect it to be a trend either. But if it happens again next week then maybe?
