In the last 4 he seems to be playing better since Billups called out the team. He's averaging 12.5/6/2.8 with a 59 ts% in less than 24 mpg.
Also he is coming off a 2nd half in OKC where he got 12 points and 6 rebounds in 11 minutes. (he did start the game 0-5 but shot 4-5 in the 2nd half)
He's going to be fine, his numbers are improving he just doesn't have that much latitude to not play well because Grant is basically a guaranteed 35 minutes (as I mentioned, he's gonna get full Kuzma treatment for some baffling reason) a night despite not playing well and Toumani Camara has been another 32 minutes a night despite underwhelming production (Deni beats him in just about every stat except three point shooting despite playing about 7 less minutes a game). So he's getting the new guy treatment for sure.
Now that's not to say Deni can't play better, he hasn't made the most of his opportunities from a shooting perspective. His two point shot just hasn't gone down this season yet, but from what I've seen he's getting many of the same looks as he did last year.
Again, not a perfect or even good start for him, but he's had to adjust to a new roster with a ton of guys trying to prove themselves. He strings a couple more good performances together and his numbers start to get a lot better.
Laughable there's a good contingent on this board trying to write his obituary in 15 games averaging 10/6/3/1/1 while still shooting awful and playing about a minute more per game than his rookie season.
