Dolphins Lead Up - Thanksgiving Day

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Mon Nov 25, 2024 12:30 am

Fins have won three straight since Tua got back, albeit over crappy competition. But they preceded that with two tight losses against Arizona and @Buffalo. They're not going to roll over. Need to destroy them on a short week.

Can't remember the last time we played on Thanksgiving against someone other than the Lions. But we'll need to keep pace with em, as they've got the Bears on Thanksgiving Day. We've got the Lions on the following Thursday night, so no rest advantage for either team after playing on Thanksgiving.

7:20PM kickoff on NBC. Go Pack Go.

Dolphins looked good today and it was all passing, little running. Doubs will be out, Jaire will be out. I don't think there were any other injuries today. They are only a game out of the playoffs, this is a big game for them. Big game for us too. Have to keep pace in the division with the Lions on deck. Love needs to be better. He could/should have had at least 2 picks. I'd like to see Jacobs are a receiver more.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Would be a nice win, but I expect a loss.

Think we lose this and beat Detroit.

HFA, cold weather, short week and Miami has to travel.

That's in our favor. If Jacobs still has good legs, would be a good one to pound and wear out the dolphins and let them get cold. It sucks tackling in cold weather coming from Miami. Build a lead and make them cold and miserable and want to go home.

A good opponent so don't make those sloppy mistakes.

I think weather is only a factor if a team out of it. Miami is in the thick of it, they'll shrug it off. Being at home is definitely a factor.

Had no idea the the team was playing on Thanksgiving, and I was feeling down a bit because the holiday was moved to Wednesday due to the actions of a complete a*shole.

Extremely happy to get a holiday on Wednesday and a relaxing "come over if you want to watch football" day on Thursday.

Your posts today are leaving me wanting more. Who is the a*shole and what did he do? What was your kitchen nightmare?

The good news is that Miami has a horrible record against winning teams over the past several seasons and their record (and Tua's) is even worse when the temperature is 40 or below.

Additional good news is that the Packers have defeated all of the middling to bad teams they've played thus far including the 2-9 Jags, 3-8 Titans, 4-7 Bears, 5-7 Colts, 5-6 49ers. 5-6 Rams, 6-5 Cardinals, and 7-5 Texans.

Thus far, it has only been when GB has gone up against top competition such as the 10-1 Lions, 9-2 Eagles, and 9-2 Vikes that they have tasted defeat.

I think Waddle and Hill present real issues for our defensive backfield sans Jaire but I am hopeful that traveling from 80 degrees in South Florida to 20 in NE Wisconsin on a short week will be enough of a factor that the Pack continues the narrative that Tua can't win in the cold.

Or she. Can't wait. Going to be an afternoon of 9/11, Holocaust and pedophile jokes with Cards Against Humanity and then some Packers football.

Going to be an afternoon of posting. Grind don't stop, you shouldn't either.

We should probably just concede the loss now. No point in playing

Running the ball 40 times should be the goal. Keep Tua and those WRs off the field.

Can Jordan also go a 2nd straight week not throwing an INT? He tried to throw a couple yesterday. :banghead:

Packers don’t have a pass rush and the CB room has no Jaire.

He got it out of the way on the free play. I dont want to call this a must win, but a win certainly sets them up nicely down the final part of the season.
