Easily. For modern basketball, he’s pretty awesome. Storr is a dinosaur.
I’m starting think McGee > Hepburn too

McGee has indeed been quite the revelation. I have to say that I did not see this coming from him. Hope he can keep even a fraction of this up.

I love this team. I feel like I say this every year.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.
Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I loved Storr because his talent was tantalizing, but he's a dumb player and not a team first player.
Tonje might not be the same athletic specimen, but he possesses elite BBIQ and is every bit as gifted as a scorer. Plus he just seems like a super likable kid.
Mad props to Gard and staff, they seem to have found their lane in this new landscape.

The scouting report on him has clearly been that you play way off him and give him open shots and if he makes those you live with that. I'm very curious if/when that changes and if it does it'll only make the offense even more explosive.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
I'm totally with the Tonje > Storr stuff on the whole - my only concern is if we get into a match with some true top 20ish teams (not Arizona) on the road, etc. in B10 play...there are going to be some nights that he's not able to get his own shot/make things happen like Storr could. Of course, Storr had plenty of his own issues going hero ball in games like that.
That said, Pitt technically fits the definition of a good top 20 team with a good defense and they still did alright. That's just my one concern - which I am very happy to have given expectations coming into the year.
Also sidenote: I have been away from the TV for a good deal of the Arizona/Pitt games that he's gone off in.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
After watching the debacle that football has been, hope most people are glad to have stuck with stable consistency. And in general to not have let McIntosh get his hands on anything with bball yet. At this rate, Gard is going to outlast McIntosh.
Hopefully this good start doesn't go down as harshly as last year's team did, its still very early so we'll see. An injury to Tonje could really kill them and just in general the long B1G schedule too. But looks pretty safe to make the tourney as of now.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
If you have BTN+ you need to check in to the GB Ohio State game right now. Anthony Roy is unbelievable. He leads the nation in points per game and he is doing this to every night. Senior with some big off court issues that led to him transferring to GB this year, but god damn this kid can hoop.

Up 2-0 now goes to the 5th.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
That felt not great. OSU does look better than their record, and have played such the past month+, but that's not what you want to see if you're UW thinking you're hanging with other elite teams in the tourney.

I'm kinda there, but I figure there's, I dunno, 3 teams better than them. If the tournament goes chalk, that'll doom them. I really think it's Nebraska and everyone else. Charlie's been inconsistent last few games, hate to say it.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
They haven't looked great the last couple weeks but it hasn't changed my macro view that Nebraska and Pitt look like the clear 2 best teams in the country and their are 6 teams after that who are in that next tier and Wisconsin is in that group. I think its unlikely, but not impossible, that they get a 1 seed and if they don't you just hope they don't end up in the same bracket as Pitt or Nebraska.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
I've been keeping an eye on the possibility that Wisconsin-Marquette will be a top-10 matchup. Of the 14 teams ranked ahead of them, 7 of them have lost this week thus far. Purdue's got some moderately difficult games and Alabama plays Oregon on Saturday are probably the 2 other teams ranked ahead of them that are most likely to take a loss that would allow Wisconsin to be ahead of them. As of now I think they'll definitely be ranked ahead of Indiana and North Carolina, almost definitely ahead of UCONN who will probably take quite a tumble. That's probably where I think it ends, I don't think they'll be ahead of Duke, I don't think they'll be ahead of Gonzaga unless the Zags take another loss, I don't think they'll ahead of Iowa State and a small chance they're ahead of Houston. So my guess is, assuming things stay relatively static that they'll be 12.
This is all assuming they don't have one of the worst losses in program history on Saturday, and no that's not hyperbole Chicago State is that bad.
