Should the Hornets trade LaMelo to the Lakers?

Post#1 » by 316Hornets » Mon Nov 25, 2024 8:10 am

"The Charlotte Hornets front office that drafted Ball is no longer in place, and if the franchise gets off to a rough start there may be some incentive to trade the All-Star point guard and in an attempt to get the No. 1 pick in a loaded 2025 draft.

The Lakers could offer D'Angelo Russell's expiring contract, future first-round picks and more in a deal for Ball, a player that would provide a tremendous spark."

It would be really dumb to give him up for an expiring contract and the picks the Lakers own. Whether you believe he's worth it or not, there will be better offers in the market.

Lol. Bleacher Report and their agenda to push all things Lakers is hilarious. They know any Lakers related content or mentions will get interactions from either Lakers fans or Lakers haters.

The Hornets wouldn’t trade LaMelo for even AD and all their picks much less Dlo and picks. Hornets finally have a fun marketable player, their not trading him.

Why should the Hornets trade a 23 year old player that basically represents the best possible outcome a draft pick can have? His past injuries are concerning, but the likeliness of drafting a player that comes close in value to a 6-7 point guard that averages 30 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds are extemely low.

Looked at the other trades of the article and they are all similar idiotic. Basically, oh that mediocre team actually has a decent player, well why don't they trade them just to a better team?

The Hornets should be forced to do this trade for marketing purposes. We need LA to be really good for the new TV deal

These ridiculous trade ideas won't change the fact that once LeBron retires and Davis starts to decline the Lakers are going to be a bad team for a while.

Not even the people writing this article believe this will happen. These articles are just here to harvest clicks off casual Laker fans who want to believe other teams exist only to be farm teams for LA.

About as likely as the NBA ditching the conferences after the expansion teams come in

This is clearly blatant click bait that sadly generates revenue for fans/folks gullible enough to believe this tosh

Even with his expiring contract, Charlotte wouldn't trade an torn ACL Grant Williams for D'Angelo Russell.

Lakers are not able to trade any future picks past 2031 at this stage either I believe

And no, the NBA does not.need the Lakers to be good for ratings sake, they will suck (huzzah) for 10 years after AD and Lebron and still get most televised games.

They (Lakers ownership) are more concerned about selling shirts and making money than actually being serious about going all in for a chip, and I for one couldn't be more happy about that.

If anyone trades Ball for DLo and couple picks, they need to be on Musks next rocket to the sun.

What a ludicrous proposal.

Trade LaMelo for picks with the hope to find another LaMelo through the draft?

The only Ball the Lakers are getting with that trash DLO package are the ones between the legs of Hornets fans.
