Who cares. Embiid, Harden, and George -- all three of them get you beaten in the playoffs because they don't have the character to lead a team to a championship.

The original also had Maxey juxtaposed with cotton candy making it look like he has clown hair which is apropos for the season.

For smaller guards like Maxey and McCain, the way to beat long, athletic defenses like the Clippers' is to penetrate in order to collapse the defense, then kick out to open shooters.

Unfortunately our current roster is historically terrible at making open shots. Until that problem is fixed, it's easy for long, athletic defenses to shut down M&M.

Remind me how many championships Jimmy Butler and Marcus Smart have? I keep forgetting, but it must be quite a few with all the character they both have.

Looks like Sixers hired a WIP caller for their social media manager

From my observation, Maxey doesn’t have a wide variety of moves (McCain might even have more tricks in his bag), and his weak left hand makes it harder for him to break down defenders. Maxey’s primary move off the dribble is the step back, which he picked up from Harden. While it’s effective when used unexpectedly or when defenders are caught off guard, it’s not a move he can consistently rely on to beat defenders in 1v1 situations.

Nick Nurse is definitely part of the problem. This team should be one of the fastest pace team in the league when Embiid isnt playing.

Agreed. Maxey has a quick first step, but doesn't get respect from refs when he gets to the rim and doesn't have a reliable pull up game from any distance (which is what he's missing). Maxey is in the mid 30s percentage wise pulling up from mid range and high 20s from 3. Last year he was better with Joel overall, but including the non Joel times he was similar percentage wise. McCain for instance is mid 40% mid range and just high 20% from 3 off the dribble pulling up. For now Maxeys best one on one weapon is that first step all the way to the rim followed by the step back.

However, when there is a full roster and he's able play off ball more, he just runs bigger longer guys to death. For instance that big game he and Joel had against the twolves last season with McDaniels and Edwards struggling to stop him.

If they get PG back and it seems they should, seems like they should have enough to be able to play him in a preferred style more. The 1 full game they've had together George was the hub and Maxey had about 35 if I recall vs healthy PHX more off ball.
