I like his early numbers and BBIQ. I've learned to be suspicious of BYU prospects since their stats don't seem to translate. As of right now I have Demin behind Nolan Traore though.

What's the French word for 'shifty'?

Traore plays the way I hope Bub someday plays. Next level intelligence and processing speed, great handle and use of screens, crafty interior scoring in traffic. Unrattled at every moment.

Plus I think it would be funny to have 3/5ths of the French NT starters going into the next Olympics.

I haven't been that impressed with what I've seen of Traore, and his size. I know a lot of people are high on him so I'll keep an open mind.

As far as Egor, before BYU he played for Real Madrid. Would you feel more confident about him if he was just a prospect coming from Real Madrid without the ties to BYU?

so far everyone seems to be playing weak competition. College ball this season so far has been frustrating to watch because of it, although the game tonight I saw Syracuse vs Texas was pretty good.

Demin played for the Real Madrid junior team, not the Euroleague team. In the NCAA, Demin has only played against farmers and accountants so far. Traore is playing against grown professional players in Europe.

And last year, Traore was far more dominant at the junior level than Demin.

Not saying one is better than the other, just something to keep in mind when hyping up or tearing down prospects based on a very limited sample of dubious data.

Embiid is now hurt (again), perhaps not seriously though.

Joel Embiid is a sunken cost player. Philadelphia is stuck with him and Paul George. It's not apparent yet, but they're in worse shape than the Wizards.

I think they'll win a lot more than Washington. He will tough out some games.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

I agree completely. The big brain play here is to actually try to blow it up, if they can somehow. That team is completely cooked with those two on the books.

It's a lazy comparison based on size and athleticism, but is VJ Edgecombe anything close to Anthony Edwards?

Dylan Harper looks like a really good player - much better than anyone he's playing against in college.

I didn't watch Edwards in college at all but I would say he is a rough comp for VJ. I think VJ is a bit smaller and maybe not quite as athletic.

Eric Dixon of Villanova is way better than Derik Queen and JuJu Reese.

Maybe it will work out like the David Robinson injury year. San Antonio was terrible and got Tim Duncan in the next draft.

So, Embiid and George are injured often this year, and 76ers are terrible. They get a top 3 pick superstar in the next draft.
Tyrese Maxey continues at all-star level.
McCain is rookie of the year.

76ers get healthy next year and compete for title.

It would be interesting if they could trade Embiid for one young talent and cap filler - like maybe to Golden State for Kuminga. (That's actually a bad example because it's impossible to make the salaries work out, but you get the idea.)

If they could turn Embiid into one good wing, they'd hit the ground running on the rebuild with Maxey, McCain, Good Young Wing and a high 2025 draft pick in the fold.

George probably can't be traded for value given his play, age, injury history and contract.

How many 2nd round picks do the Wizards have in 2025?

I’ve looked on 3 different websites and found 3 different answers. One listed 4 - Detroits, Bostons, GW & PHX. Another listed 3 - Boston, GW & PHX. And the third listed - Boston & PHX. I’m old so I get confused easily now. lol

According to Tankathon, the Wiz would have 3 second rounders if the league ended today:

#40 (DET), #50 (PHO) and #56 (GS).

Tankathon draft lottery is rigged. Landed the #5 pick like 6 times in a row. Only way it would be more rigged would be to land the #9 pick.

Dylan Harper might be the best player in the draft. Just dominant in the first half

:( I experienced the same, a bunch of 5th place selections, but also a couple of #1, of-course the lottery gods do not reward the team with worst record often it seems.

Tankathon has Derik Queen rated the #2 C prospect and the #11 first round pick.

I didn't realize Dylan Harper was Ron Harper's son. He went off against Notre Dame. Rutgers plays tonight at 10 on TBS.

Auburn has a 5th year PF/C, Johni Broome, who had 23 points, 19 rebounds in a win over North Carolina.

Broome and Eric Dixon are round two picks with first round talent.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Harper dropped 37 on #9 Alabama the night after his 36 pt game against Notre Dame. Impossible to keep him out of the lane without doubling him.
