You c*nts couldn't even vote in Brunson as a starter last year over Halifraudon, but you want OG now?

Won't vote once and I'll complain when he gets snubbed too

Know for a fact the ABA wouldn't snub OG. They'd appreciate his handles.

Re: The O.G. Anunoby AllStar Campaign Thread.
I will be going back and editing this with more notes, or updating with new notes.
So these are the front court players in OG's way (as of Tuesday November 26th 2024):
• Karl-Anthony Towns (NYK)
I think we all agree on this one.
• Giannis Antetokoumpo (MIL)
I think we all agree on this one.
• Jayson Tatum (BOS)
I think we all agree on this one.
• Jaylen Brown (BOS)
I think we all agree on this one.
• Franz Wagner (ORL)
I think we all agree on this one
• Evan Mobley (CLE)
Cavs this year are having a more historic run than the Hawks from 10 years ago that had 4 all-stars. Cavs have the best record at 17-1. Evan Mobley is averaging 18 ppg on 56/36/84 shooting splits, 9 rpg, 3 apg, to go with 0.9 spg and 1.5 bpg. I think you have to give the nod to Evan Mobley over OG this season.
• Jarrett Allen (CLE)
This one is debatable, but I feel his numbers justify it. 15 ppg on 69% from the field and 75% from the free throw line along with 11.1 rpg, 1.8 apg, 0.9 spg, 1.2 bpg. If Embiid gets voted in as a starter, then that might screw over Jarrett Allen and he would likely not get voted in as a reserve. Nikola Vucevic and Bam Adebayo might be better individually than Jarrett Allen, but I think the Cavs really have earned 4 all-star spots this year.
Notable front court players who may be in OG's way:
• Pascal Siakam (IND)
He is considerably the best player on the Pacers this season. Averaging 20.5 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 3.9 apg with shooting splits of 55/45/80. Pacers are tied for the 7th best record in the East at 8-10.
• Bam Adebayo (MIA)
He is having one of his worst offensive seasons but he is still averaging 16.5 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 4.0 apg, 1.7 spg, 1.1 bpg. He is also knocking down threes for the first time in his career, shooting a respectable 34.2% on 2.7 3pa/g. Miami currently has the 6th best record in the East at 7-8.
• Nikola Vucevic (CHI)
He has been a beast for Chicago. 21 and 10 on 58/46/88 shooting splits. Also 3.2 apg and 1.0 bpg which are both higher than OG. Only 0.8 spg which is half what OG averages. Bulls are tied for the 9th best record in the East at 8-11. OG has more value playing on a winning team, but Vucevic is clearly putting up all-star numbers.
• Zach LaVine (CHI)
Is he considered a guard or a forward? I'm so confused. If he's considered a forward, then he will be in OG's way. He is averaging 23/5/4 on 52/42/82 shooting splits. Those are without a doubt all-star numbers. However, like Vucevic, LaVine's stock may be low since Chicago is not a winning team.
• Jalen Johnson (ATL)
I don't follow the Hawks much and haven't seen this guy play. He's averaging almost 20/11/5 on shooting splits of 48/34/74 with 1.5 bpg and 1.5 bpg and 1.1 spg. Hawks have the 11th best record in the East at 7-11 so his stock may be low being on a losing team. Still, he is putting up "Shawn Marion" level numbers this season.
• Josh Hart (NYK)
If considered a front court player, then OG is competing for an all-star spot against his own teammate. Josh is averaging a ridiculous 14/9/6 on 61/37/85 shooting splits, with 1.1 spg as well. You could argue Josh is just as much of an all-star as OG.
Notable front court players who I feel are not at OG's level but are still worth mentioning in case I'm somehow wrong about them:
• Joel Embiid (PHI)
Not deserving at all based on his numbers thus far this season and how bad the Sixers have been, but if he gets voted in as a starter, then that takes a spot from OG.
• Paolo Banchero (ORL)
He has been injured while Franz Wagner is carrying the Magic. Still, if Banchero comes back in time and continues posting huge numbers, does he get a spot over OG?
• Myles Turner (IND)
Shoot threes at a high clip and blocks a ton of shots. Still, he's only averaging 16 and 7, and there are Centers with more impressive numbers who would get consideration before Turner.
• Bennedict Mathurin (IND)
Gets a rebound or two a game more than OG, but OG is just a little bit better in all other areas.
• Cam Johnson (BRK)
Shoots threes at a high volume (7.6 3pa/g) and clip (43.1%) but that's it. OG has him beat on pretty much all the other statistical areas. Nets are tied for the 7th best record in the East at 8-10. He's either the 2nd or 3rd best player on the team.

We need to improve our record a bit and he will for sure get a spot in reserves.

I'm concerned about the guys who get voted in as starters.
These are the voting numbers from last year. I'm only going to note the players who received over a million votes
https://www.basketball-reference.com/allstar/NBA_2024_voting.html
EAST BACKCOURT
Tyrese Haliburton - 3,377,405
Trae Young - 2,270,401
Damian Lillard - 2,236,969
Donovan Mitchell - 1,894,891
Jalen Brunson - 1,452,519
Tyrese Maxey - 1,429,104
EAST FRONTCOURT
Giannis Antetokounmpo - 5,427,874
Jayson Tatum - 4,802,187
Joel Embiid - 4,742,834
Jimmy Butler - 1,612,499
Jaylen Brown - 1,320,277
WEST BACKCOURT
Luka Dončić - 4,141,533
Stephen Curry - 3,228,111
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - 3,130,850
Kyrie Irving - 1,011,255
Anthony Edwards - 1,008,929
WEST FRONTCOURT
LeBron James 5,098,872
Nikola Jokić 4,504,466
Kevin Durant 4,402,668
Anthony Davis 2,705,276
Alperen Sengun 1,821,202
Kawhi Leonard 1,728,623
Paul George 1,099,453
Towns was 11th among West Frontcourt players with 446,426 votes.
How crazy is it that Embiid got more than TEN TIMES as many votes as KAT last year.
Haliburton got almost 2 million more votes than Brunson last year, and Trae got almost more than a million over Brunson.
If neither Brunson and KAT get voted in as starters, that leaves them with both getting reserve spots.
Cavs and Knicks each have 4 guys on their team deserving of all-star spots.
If Joel Embiid, Tyrese Haliburton, and Trae Young get voted in as starters again, then that really will screw over OG's chances.

Re: The O.G. Anunoby AllStar Campaign Thread.
I'll be the first to admit while I liked OG a ton, it was mainly due to his all world defense and ability to hit the 3. I was not expecting him to have added a nuanced dribble drive and cut to the basket game as well as half decent mid range game as well.
Same with Hart. This looks like Hart's career year with Portland (I think) where he was a pretty dynamic offensive player for them. And his shot making including the 3 with under 4 seconds on the clock is as clutch as it gets.

Deuce is putting up similar stats as IQ did on a fraction of his salary, and has already played better in the playoffs.
