3rd game in 4 nights for the Bulls coming back from road trip (@WAS, @ORL). Their day off is Thanksgiving. Put them away early so we see more Springer/Walsh/Scheierman/XQ.

I think if the Celtics beat the Bulls and the Cavs beat the Hawks then the Celtics advance period. That's the easiest path I believe.

Sounds right to me. We'd end up alone at the top of the group.

I think we just don't want to end up in a 2-way tie with Hawks. They have the head-to-head tie breaker against us.

If it ends in a 3 way tie with us, Hawks and Cavs, the head-to-head goes out the window and we'd likely advance. Because we beat the Cavs and have a better point differential than the Hawks.

Or something like that haha.

Luckily, it can't end in a 3-way tie. Assuming we beat the Bulls. If the Cavs win, Hawks are 2-2. If the Hawks win the Cavs are 2-2. Only one can get to 3-1 to tie with us.

Problem is Hawks could beat Cavs on the 2nd nite of a B2B.

They first play in Cleveland then next day in Atlanta.

If the Hawks win they are 3-1 and tied with the Celtics. In that case Hawks move on because they win the tiebreaker by beating the Celtics earlier. Celtics then fighting for the wildcard. Celtics have the tiebreaker over Cleveland.

Best way is Celtics beat Bulls, Cavs beat Hawks.

don't underestimate the Bulls, come out swinging early and pile it on. Need all the points possible to move on! Why not make a serious run at the Tourney?! Get the entire roster more $$$$$$$

What a waste for Vucevic to be on the Bulls these last bunch of years.

Switch Vucevic and Myles Turner and Indy will be so much better and Chicago will keep on sucking.

If Golden State wants to get stronger in the west they should make a move for Vucevic.

Yep. I was just responding to the 3-way tie bit. There's no way for all 3 of us to be 3-1.
Cavs and us being 3-1 and us advancing is the most likely path - unless they wanna screw us...

"Queta, Kornet and Horford have guarded the perimeter as often as any other big in the league. Mazzulla said that could change now that Porzingis is back and #Celtics can play a more traditional defense." -- via Bobby Manning

I still can't believe KP is back, but glad he is. NO MORE INJURIES! That's an order.

I'm not sure i get this. Obviously KP is elite, but is Queta that bad at rim protection that you can’t play traditional with him? Or is it more KP can’t guard perimeter being couched in positive terms?

Now that ATL beat the CAVS (at home!) - how do we progress to the next round?
Beat the Bulls by +50?

ATL holds the tie breaker or is it just point differential?

Atl beat them in a regular game. The cup game is on Friday but if Atl wins the next one than they win the group. The Celtics would then need to win the wild card spot by beating Chicago and having a higher point differential than the 2nd place team in group A and group B.

I don't believe it tonight was a tourney game. Friday is though.

Kind of the prefect scenario. Cavs get an L and motivation for the Cup game. Overall I still don’t care about the cup that much. But if they’re games we’re playing we might as well win the thing.
