This team is fun to watch when everything is clicking but at the end of the day we are 10-7 with one highlight win against denver(who I think was shorthanded) and several bad losses mixed in such as the hawks bulls and jazz. We were 2nd in the East last year and we are 4th now. So I’m not excited yet. But I am glad towns is here and playing well. There are still issues to iron out.

the corner 3% is right next to the attempts and Mikal is shooting a really strong 44.4% from corner 3's.

Oh ok. I mistakenly thought the percentage was of total shots (i.e., 44.4% of his total FGA are corner 3’s).

nah he's made 24/54 from corner 3's for a 44.4% rate. He is tied for the most corner 3's made this year.

https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/mikal-bridges-shot-chart

he is very good from the corner, excellent in the mid range, and league avg at the rim. So all is not lost.

Saying that he is one of the worst ATB 3 point shooters I have seen.

So two things. He either needs to cut down on the above the break 3's and attack the basket more when he gets the ball in those spots. Or he jus needs to go back to making them at least at a respectable clip. He's shooting a disastrous 17.3% on above the break 3's and he's taking just about half his volume of 3's from the ATB as the corner.

Encouraging stuff. Cuz the eye test somehow looked like a way more bleak outlook.

If he gets it together we’d like be the best offense in the league. Then once Precious and Mitch get back, I expect the defense and OREBS to trend up sharply.

Well, he is good in 1 corner only. Still sh*t from the other.

I think we are already the best offense in the league or #2. If Mikal starts hitting ATB 3's at an avg clip we probably are going to go down as one of the best offenses in history. :o

He doesn't need to take ATB 3's yet... he should just hang in the corner and if he's open ATB, he should drive in for the middie or drive and kick for someone else to take the three. Not ideal, but better than a 15% shot from Bridges ATB... way better.

Thibs has answered all of the criticism about his inability to get a ball movement motion driven offense. Hes adapated to his personnel, which people didn’t think he doesn’t do. Thibs is a legendary coach!

Thibs has actually coached decent offenses recently more than elite defenses. I think having two generational type offensive talents in brunson and KAT was just going to make us elite regardless.

Plus what we are getting from OG and Hart.

If Mikal just alters his shot selection a bit we will see another jump.

To me it's been brunson that has had to do the adapting. Not thibs. On offense.

Thibs still has a lot of work and adjusting to do defensively.
