Thibs puts them in position to succeed, but if they don't for whatever reason, he is basically just a washed dad that makes his kids repeat the same procedure over and over because, "I know it works, you just have to do better. Do it again".

simple post game question to thibs

in a game OG just didn't seem to have his legs under him why does he log over 40 mins?

He can't possibly rewatch the Nets game where Huk had 7 pts and 4 blocks and conclude yep that's trash he's not impacting the game, I'm playing the more impactful guy (Sims)

He can't possibly look at Pac cutting and positioning well to score is not a positive for a team

He can't possibly not understand fatigue and not understand guys need burn to build confidence

He can't possibly rewatch the Bulls - Nets playoffs game when DRose tore his ACL still playing in a blowout and not conclude it's a terrible mistake, learn but he keeps playing key guys/ starters deep in meaningless minutes

Just wow I'm speechless sometimes you're so smart you're stupid

Yeah it’s all just willfully kind of bland and conservative

His big idea is feed Mikal while the Knicks watch on dumbfounded and motionless and the Mavs catch early momentum

He has very few ideas that are daring - okay he has none

He threw down a reverse dunk near the end of the game, he just played like ass

I guess he was due for a bad game, he rarely has one

They need to establish who the 3rd option is between Bridges and OG, a hierarchy needs to be set between them.

oh come on...thats bull

a standing dunk...you and I watched the whole game...we both saw it just wasn't "playing bad"

there was a lack of extra effort and energy all night. All the shots were short.

Bridges needs to get his ish together.

Thibs is hot trash in all respects

KAT and Brunson Are good

When OG gets it going he's very good... but watching his shot mechanics they seem forced and take a lot of effort, he's not a natural scorer and isn't built to avg 20+

Ofc we want players to improve, but not at the expense of team shot efficiency... he really reminds me of Kobe in 2000-2001 season where he wanted to show he's improved and forced shots... the difference is Kobe actually had the natural offensive talent to realize, OG doesn't... there will be nights like this where OG forces shots, and it's not really for the good of the team.

Why, they’re both tertiary options and they can go with the hot hand in the 2nd half on a game to game basis. I just don’t think it’s that vital to establish a 3rd option

well OG has been that...but when you start the game what 0-11? Kinda hard to keep force-feeding a 3rd option like that.

It should be whoever has the hot hand that game

We’ve only played 7 home games and are currently finishing up West Coast road trip with another road game coming up in Charlotte. Which will be 7 out of 19 games at home. December looks like a very favorable month for us. Plenty of home games and a bunch of winnable games.

They want it to be mikal but he is broken right now.

They came out trying to get him going and it threw off the rhythm of the offense

Dude was slipping and sliding all over the court from the beginning of the game. I didn’t see a lack of effort or energy from him, I saw a player having a bad night.

Another game where our starters don’t have it early and we refuse to give anyone on the bench a chance to see if maybe they’re on tonight

This could’ve been a game where Pac, Huk, and Kolek come in and energize the team and hit some timely shots or make some nice plays but we’ll never know. We’re just gonna keep doing what doesn’t work until it hopefully does. Then we’re down 20 at half time and even if we win the 2nd and 3rd the game is too out of reach after the first half.

This coach is terrible and no amount of wins against garbage teams or wins period will convince me we have a shot at a chip with him here

I think the toughest part of watching the Knicks this year is that once we go down big in the 1st quarter, I don't have any confidence they can fight their way back. We don't have the guys to force defensive stops and go on runs. We're really reliant on our offense and the three ball going down. Over time, we can win games this way, but we really might be reliant on Mitch to mix up our playing style.

Either way, this was a really ugly game we shouldn't have lost. Luka out, Gafford out...
