I do like they are playing hard, and I like what Maxey had to say.

It sucks to lose, but I would rather they care about it. Max cares, PG is at least there at the game. Was Jojo? I don't know.

Great loss. Sagg for Flagg, Disgrace for Ace and Duck for Demin in full effect.

Only downside is McCain going cold. Last two games are a lesson in tough NBA defenses. Hope he figures out how to respond.

For **** sake..... we're the sixers. We're not getting Cooper Flagg.

We might. I mean he damn sure doesn't want to play in Washington.

While Flagg would be nice; getting any top 6 prospect is our best option versus a futile attempt to salvage this season.

Exactly! It doesn't necessarily need to be Cooper Flagg. He's obviously the prize of this draft and most likely destined to be a superstar in this league, but any of the top six picks look nice to me. This is a draft we need to be "in" on. Maybe we aren't the only ones that see this. I don't believe in conspiracies all that much, but maybe this is all some master plan that we have concocted as this disaster of a season has progressed. I think at this point, the organization is probably thinking things over as far as how to approach things. I mean, we give PG (what's left of his corpse) and Embiid (what's left of his knee) the year off and we take it down as an unfortunate loss. It puts us at least in the Flagg conversation and also sets us up to not only sustain as a contending team, but also to become one of the bigger draws in the sport. You can't tell me the intrigue with us potentially pairing Cooper Flagg with the guys we have wouldn't put us in every basketball related conversation. There have been rumors of us moving to New Jersey FFS. Maybe this is a way to just save this franchise. That's at least how I'm looking at it.
We need to just keep this going. Play the youngsters. Let Ricky Council cook for a bit. We hadn't seen the new bag from him yet until tonight. That three looks legit. He needs to be playing more than Oubre (who I just don't like). I also don't really like Andre Drummond anymore. He makes me miss Paul Reed. I'm rambling at this point...But dude...Yeah...Play for the draft. We need it.

They should be full on tanking now.

Since that won't happen, what they then should do is get Jo playing against DET. If his knee swells up again afterwards, shut him down until after New Year's. At which point you rinse and repeat until the end of the year. As for PG, if healthy play him every other game so he stays out of rhythm with the rest of the team, and upon next injury declare him out for the year.

People talk about how it will be hard to tank to the bottom this year? It's only TOR, UTA, and WSH really tanking now. NOP has been hit by injuries, they aren't tanking. BKN is freaking almost .500, and DET, POR, and CHi are proving to be more mediocre than bad.

There is an absolute opportunity to keep the pick this year.

play Drummond 30 minutes. Run 1 minutes of all bench lineups, give Joel a few months off. Rest George all the time. They'll lose enough

Same here. I’m okay with this loss. We showed better effort, played the right way, and had contributions from everyone.

Very good effort, the game was exciting, at least. Shame we ran out of gas in the OT, we deserved the W.

I was really worried we were going to pull that one out.

That's what I don't get with people saying it will be hard to tank. We're literally stacking L's right now and have an advantage over every team except Washington. This is why I have been saying the team needs to decide sooner than later because stacking L's early before the other tank candidates decide to go all-in gives us an advantage.

Maxey taking on a team of athletic young defenders & dropping 40 makes me feel confident that he’s back. We yet again find ourselves with a pretty bad wing rotation - the eternal struggle.

I think we need to drop Oubre & give Ricky his minutes. Both fall asleep on defense too often but at least Ricky can rebound & has better shooting upside.

Council just fits better within the team. Too many times I see Oubre settle for stupid $hit. Last night the offense stalled and he jacked up a highly contested corner three that barely hit the rim and then casually jogged down to the other end like "Fkit man." I get it, sometimes that happens, but he just tries to do too much and it gets to be a downer. Council just needs minutes. If we're trying to win you play him. If we're tanking, then yeah...Play Oubre, give him 35 minutes and let him chuck a bunch of shots.

It's a shame I missed this one. Sounds like it was an entertaining game with our guys showing effort, despite the loss.

Missed this one too. Watched the overall highlights and it seems our problem is still (as it has been for 8 years) we don’t rebound the contested shots at the rim. The second chance points kill is. That PF spot needs to support the C providing the rim protection.
