Sure, they’re not great defensively, but when Dick/Battle play together it completely destroys any zone

Have Mogbo to get stocks, just need a C like Chomche and Ivisic to get stocks and 3's. Also all other bench players need to be able to shoot the 3 above 35%.

Stocks and 3s are the key skills you would want in your role players, along with POA or help defense. I love that you mentioned Ivisic. I liked him in the draft last year and if him or his brother are projected as 2nd rounders that's very interesting.

I would try and lock him up to a dirt cheap 4 year deal to give him security...and us a potential rotational steal in the last few years of his deal

I’m down for making this dude our Jon konchar. Might be too early at moment to say that, but he’s been a pleasant surprise, and good depth guy find.

He'd probably be okay with a 3 year deal for $2 million per season now after that performance. Vince Williams deal.

One thing this board can agree on is that we ALL saw that Battle should be given a contract

I just hope Masai won't offer Battle a prove yourself contract (i.e. 2 yr contract, 2nd yr player option) and bidding against himself AGAIN

the board also thought Branden Carlson could be a starter. Don't give this board too much credit

Don't know if people caught the post game interview but Battle is even more impressive than I thought. The guy journals and keeps himself "neutral" at all times. He has such a good mental outlook for a player.

Hopefully he sticks around because he is eating up his 2way games.

No one said he would be a starter. Carlson is a stretch big and in this league stretch bigs have more value than guys like Fernando.

I was impressed in summer league.

He shot 60% over 5 games from 3, and didn't look out of place defensively. Kid is a pure shooter.

What a draft this could turn out to be. Getting 4 potential rotation players in Mogbo, Shead, Walter and Battle, potentially 5 depending on what happens with Chomche. Rebuilt the entire bench in one draft.

I'd be ok with him getting the Shead/Mogbo 3-yr/$6M deal.

$1,862,265
$1,955,377
$2,296,271 - Team Option

The more useful guys we can keep signing at these dollar amounts, the more flexibility we have at the top end. I'm still not convinced he ever becomes more than a situational rotation player on a good team. But those players do have a lot of value in this league at a good price.

I definitely recall posts saying to trade Poeltl and start Carlson.
