His defense has actually been reasonable this year aside from the fouling. He’s not some immediate food to be hunted as people say. He rebounds well and gets his hands in passing lanes.

Again I cannot over exaggerate how bad the supporting cast has been this year, so injured, no one can create a shot but him.

I watched against the Bucks last week. LaMelo has become a chucker. I watched him get the inbounds pass, dribble up the court, wave away a screen and chuck up a shot - on 6 straight possessions. Some of the shots went in due to his incredible skill level. Most didn’t. But he killed any effort his teammates would make as he completely ignored them. He went to Miller a couple times later in the game, was good to see.
He chucked up 35 shots in another L tonight. Don’t tell me he shouldn’t pass the ball. Dame beat the Heat last night with a similar talentless Bucks team, missing Giannis and Middleton.

I don’t know if you watch this team. Several of these guys shouldn’t be playing in NBA games. It’s like brining up some 3rd league player from Europe and asking him to play Center in the NBA.
